That doesn't involve the A1 MINI, which is what this deal is for.
It doesn't help, it causes confusion. The recall is for the regular "A1" and not the "A1 Mini". You really should update your comment to reflect that if you truly want to help.
nice, wish they had a coupon for X1-Carbon Combo

Talked myself from a P1P, all the way up to a X1C about a year ago and couldn't be happier… I had a Creality CR-10S prior, while great to learn on it was such a chore to get good prints, so it sat unused for a solid year or so.
Printing with the X1C is just so effortless, makes it a tool to complete a project… not the project 😉
Ender 3 to X1C also very happy. The ease of just designing and printing and at much quicker speeds has made 3d printing so much more enjoyable.

You might be able to pull $300 or more out of the AMS on eBay. Not sure on the reason they go for more there, but I'll try my luck doing that I think. Should get the cost down to around $210ish for just the printer
It was probably before they offered AMS lite by itself. They have it for $250 on their website so you may only get $200 max for it now

Yeah my first printer was an Ender 3 Pro from years ago when they first came out. It definitely took a lot of tinkering. I am still using it now but it definitely went through some major changes. It does the job but can be a hit or miss on long prints. I have considered the X1C but I am 3d printing as a hobby not for R&D or to start a business so I just can't justify the extra $600 difference from the P1S. The P1S should be a huge upgrade the Ender 3 Pro.

If you have a way to return v3 KE you should do that. Bambu is not in the same magnitude on ease of use and print accuracy.
It looks like this promo code expires 2/19. I'm going to bust open the KE this weekend and see how it goes. I do have 30 days to return on Amazon. If it sucks, I'll return it and purchase the A1 Mini.

Supposedly, the new Ender V3 series is much more "plug and play" compared to previous Ender models. There aren't many comparisons between the new Ender v3s and Bambu, because the KE only starting shipping 2 months ago, and the A1 mini itself is still relatively new.

If we are comparing just the A1 mini (without the AMS) to the KE, I'm having trouble seeing why the A1 Mini is so much better. Similar to the Bambu, the KE has auto bed leveling, same print speed, upgraded hot end, touchscreen/wifi, klipper, etc. KE also wins with larger prints, but to be honest the A1 mini will probably be big enough for us.

The big appeal for me with the A1 Mini is the AMS system, which is no doubt a big plus and the main reason I'd purchase the Bambu. I've read that Ender is in the works for something similar, but who knows when and at what price. There are a couple multicolor products out already (mosaic palette, 3d chameleon), but they have mixed reviews, and can be finicky.

I have V3 SE and A1, not the same situation as you and I don't know in terms of tolerance on printing what the difference between my ender and your ender. What I do know is my A1 just works. Ender just doesn't. I'm saying I can print a part with gears and moving components and needs mating and ender parts just don't fit near as well as A1. Ender works on just figurines and things that don't matter in terms of dimension, but any functional parts I have to print on A1.

awesome little printer. I've been using mine for months and it prints at very high quality and speed. only downsides are the smaller 180x180mm build plate and being limited to pla, petg, tpu (low temp filaments).

Aside from 16 colors how is it better? Want a A1 but wondering if P1 is worth extra
A1 is a bedslinger, P1S is a core xy printer, has an enclosure, prints more abrasive materials. the A1 has a touch screen display. but i ran prints through laptop or mobile app. so didnt care. both have the same build size. and to me, the P1S is more future proof

Will these orders be refurb units that were returned from the recall?

Somewhere I read p1s print volume is slightly smaller due to the core xy setup, but don't quote me on it.

edit: just looked up on Bambu studio slicer, P1S has the bottom left corner of the build plate blocked out, about a 20x30mm area.

should have bought for black Friday. it was only $60 off though.
It was $100 off the P1S combo - was $849 for the BF sale, plus came with some free filament if you ordered early enough.

I'm a newbie to 3D printing, and am currently starting out with an Ender 3 Neo. I'm primarily interested in functional parts. Despite multiple attempts at calibration, I'm still seeing an unacceptable amount of eccentricity in a cylinder object that I'm printing.

Will an A1 Mini provide enough of a step up in performance for printing functional parts?

Definitely will but you may be limited by the print space, otherwise definitely a step up from any Creality/Ender model.
