Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Was $749 as the lowest and has been $799 once after that.
No reason to get this when you can get Dells and Lenovos with QHD displays and 4060 at this price point.

Except a QHD display is a bad pairing with an RTX 4060. It's a 1080p card, not a 1440p card. It might do decently at 1440p 60hz in many games- but what is the point of the high refresh rate screen then? There are also many games you're probably not gonna even hit 60 FPS in at 1440p. Getting a 1440p screen on an RTX 4060 is actually hurting your performance way more than you seem to realize.
1080p is actually the correct resolution to balance visual fidelity and performance on the RTX 4060. It's a 15.6-inch monitor, it's small enough that 1080p is still going to look great resolution-wise. I do agree that the color quality of the screen on this model is not great though.
I do agree with your assessment on the price though. It's been lower and will probably be lower again soon enough. I would hold off unless you absolutely need it right now.

question, im not giving up my laptop since I got a great deal @ 550 open box from 1429 price.
ive been seeing great deals, like the 1200 dollar 4070 legion 5i with 500nit screen etc. would you pay double for that over what I got? mine is equivalent to a 4060, but it is a 1600p screen. so not really best pairing I guess. but it did score 10900 in time spy.
I did spend $100 today and ordered 32gb 5600mhz ram to upgrade from 4800mhz 16gb to see if it makes it much better since it supports it.

For $550 I would still say that's an awesome deal even if the resolution / GPU isn't the most logical pairing. FSR / Frame Gen can definitely help out. Just get a 1080p monitor (or 1440p if you really must) monitor and hook up to that when daily driving at home.
I think comparing the two laptops is apples to oranges given the extreme difference in price and that budgets may not be equal amongst different people. For me, I'd probably just stick with what you got because I already have a desktop. I would keep that for my hotel gaming, or let the GF game on it while at home.

May I ask do you think ram upgrade from cl40 4800mhz 16gb vs 32gb cl40 5600mhz would be worth $90?
There's open box Kingston fury cl40 5600kit also has ecc (which my laptop supports) and my laptop also supports the expo or whatever
It's 90 dollars. I read it would mainly boost my igpu by 15% but would it increase fps at all when using dgpu?
So I'm currently 700 in. 591 for laptop, and roughly 98 dollars for llano laptop cooler. (I just wanted it) my laptop fans don't even run now even on minimum fan speed on the cooler so imo. Worth it
But now debate is 90 worth the upgrade from 16 4800 to 32 5600?

The 4800mhz RAM isn't that great all things considered, but I also don't know if I can say you need 32GB of RAM either. If you can get a 16GB kit of 5600 or better for a good price then maybe go for that (and then sell the current kit). If you really really want the 32GB then sure but I highly doubt you'll notice much of a difference between 16 and 32GB in gaming.
There are probably games out there that you would notice up to 10% improvement (even when using dGPU) by getting a 5600mhz or better kit. I just don't want to say it has to be 32GB of it.

Got a kit off a guy local Facebook the Kingston fury 32gb 5600.
It gave my laptop bsod! It legit crashed it. I put old ram in, and it bsod as well.
I had to do a complete reinstall/fresh. No idea what happened but the new ram legit wiped it and it died, but! After hour of crash install and resetting up, it's running 2x16 @ 5600mhz
Since it has 780m igpu which I guess is pretty good, I figure itl be nice for more fps when I'm on battery.
So total, 591 laptop, 50 ram. And 100 llano laptop cooler when I'm hooked to my tv (my laptop works hard as hell pumping to my 4K tv) but it does great but there's why I wanted the dedicated cooler.
I have a small Tecknet cooler for casual gaming away from tv.
All said. I'm happy. Just not sure why my pc legit crashed from ram change unless static zapped my pc and wiped drive
