Not worth it...to you. "Period" LOL. Odd you don't see the difference there.
Heck, I bet you spend a lot of money on nonsense I wouldn't agree with. $7 cups of coffee, $500 vacuums, etc Your latte is gone in 60 seconds but god forbid I drop $240 on a gaming device I might spend 1000 hours using. Hope you can still sleep tonight knowing a stranger doesn't require your approval to spend their own hard earned money. I'll even let you buy that coffee without offering judgement
As I said before, I compare this $239 Logitech to $299 odin 2.
This does not need an Internet connection for everything only for game streaming (XCloud, GeForce Now, etc.), just like any device would. You can play Android games from the Play Store (or side loaded) and run emulators offline without issue.
Some games that I have that run great are:
Oceanhorn
Streets of Rage 4
Dead Cells
Castlevania Symphony of the Night
Limbo
This War of Mine
Max Payne
NBA Jam
Oddmar
GTA 3, VC and SA
OK, the reviews indicated the controller wasn't detected and you had to use touchscreen for a bunch of popular titles

As I said before, I compare this $239 Logitech to $299 odin 2. Apparently, at most Logitech worths no more $150 considering the cpu and gpu is 4 year mid range product. All ppl at SD are interested at the product not only because it is a good product also because it is a deal. Logitech meets the first critiaria but not the second one. So that I down voted it. And I did own Logitech, odin 2, PlayStation portal and steam deck. So what I talk about is based on my real experience and there are tons of positive reviews about odin 2 on youtube. It just couldn't justify a pure streaming device at $239 and call it a deal. Playstion portal is another story. Since you get a larger screen 8.4 inch, dual shock and adaptive trigger which mimics the experience of real ps5 at the degree that no other device could provide.
Pretty much, yeah. I use mine with Chiaki (enables remote play for my PS5); while I haven't actually measured it the battery drains really slowly when you're not taxing the processor and GPU.
Maybe 12 hours is a stretch, but definitely at least 8 or so if you're just streaming from a console or whatever.
Steam deck could have a few more frames per second when steaming from ps5 but not noticeable

Got this for $180 on the pre-Christmas refurb deal and have really been enjoying it. I didn't want or need Steam Deck power, but wanted more than Retroid functionality.
Main reason i got this was screen size. Been playing COD: Mobile a lot on my phone and figured this would make the experience better. Unfortunately, COD doesn't recognize the G Cloud device as an XBOX or PS controller, and so you have to button map, which just isn't quite as good as the DSD controller I was using with my phone before.
But on the other hand, using Steam Link and Moonlight to stream my massive library of games off my PC is a game changer.
Ergonomics are great, battery life is great, screen is great. Just wish it was recognized as an XBOX controller.

As I said before....THEY ARE BUILT FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSES. Why would I spend more money on a device that is only better for things (like emulation) I have said 800 times I could not care less about? Does it also make a good ham sandwich? Because I don't care about that either
Really, should ***I*** spend $60 more so ***you*** can sleep better at night knowing I have a device that does something I do not need? I'd rather just send you a $5 bottle of Melatonin so you can finally catch some shuteye.
Reminds me of the time I went shopping for a 4WD truck to pull a camper and the guy at the Chevy dealership kept trying to show me Camaros.

I really like your attitude that you defend what you believe. Btw, actually you don't need to add those *** before and after "I" and "you". I guess all ppl here are not blind. It reminds me someone always uses all capital letters in his sentence to emphasize he is correct. Yes, you are absolutely right. $239 Logitech is a damn good deal. Have a wonderful day.

"As I said before" I believe I do not need something for emulation. I believe I do not like emulating. I believe you are trying to project your wants / needs to emulate on to me. I believe that is a faulty line of thinking being I know my needs better than you know my needs.
Or are those beliefs wrong?

"As I said before" you seem confused who is buying and using this device. Remember ***we*** are talking about my money not your money so perhaps ***we*** should consider my wants before yours?

"As I said before" thanks for the wonderful deal on the Camaro. You keep repeating the same thing over and over and over again (to emphasize he is correct) has convinced me I do not need 10,000lbs of towing with 4 doors. What I actually need is a two door sports car. Thank you sir, how could I have been so confused. Now, off to sell the camper because I have nothing to pull it with. The kids will also have to stay behind too because the Camaro doesn't have enough seats

That was before an update they pushed out last year. There are games that don't recognize a controller (Genshin Impact being the most notable), but there is a really good button mapping program built into the G Cloud software after that update that works well. I haven't had to use it as all the games I have played thus far have just worked.
BTW, the ASUS ROG Flow X13 is "just overpriced for what it is" but you are ranting about it...."jUsT BuY A ChRoMeBoOk oR SoMeThInG" comes to mind. Why do you 'need' a $700 ROG Flow when you can just remote play to a $80 netbook? See how that logic works
Lol are you going through my post history or something?
What a loser.
My x13 is a nice basic laptop that's thin and light. I barely play games on it, but it's nice to have that option. I also do have a chromebook, but it's too slow for many tasks.
You are really defensive about an overpriced product lol.

I was active in the same thread. Not everything revolves around you."lol"

I'm not the one who thinks they are the only one allowed in a Asus thread or declaring my favorite flavor of ice cream the word of god then throwing a tantrum when people don't line up to agree. lol

So buy a $150 used desktop w/GPU and remote play to your phone...'dOeS tHe SaMe ThInG' according to some. lol
(Note, I don't actually believe that but using your logic)

You are really being offensive towards a product you clearly have never researched lol
Bye and good luck with that "overpriced product" you decided to buy needless where there were 'better' or 'cheaper' options that 'do the same thing.' lol
(*again, don't actually believe that, just trying to cater my logic to the target audience's limited understanding of how the world works.)
And FYI, if you see my name in another thread...it has nothing to do with you

You love twisting words.
Like I said, I use my laptop as a laptop, not really for gaming, so no I can't just get a phone to play cloud games because I'm not looking to play cloud games.

I'm offensive? OK lol.
I just said it seems pointless FOR THE PRICE. It is overpriced. Maybe I would buy it if it was like $150 at most. God, you act as if I completely disrespected you just because I think a product you love is kinda dumb.
And all your analogies are dumb. A steam deck can do everything this thing can do plus much more, and is very close in price. A phone with controller can do everything this g cloud does, but it can't replace a laptop.
A camaro can't do what a truck can do. It can't tow.
Drinking water won't fill your hunger like food does.
Please share more of your wisdom with your worthless analogies.
Friend, the problem is twofold:
-You cannot separate your opinion from what is an objective fact.
-You do not understand it is NOT your opinion that is the issue but how you try to force it down strangers' throats...then ridicule said stranger for forming their own conclusions on a completely subjective subject (such as perceived "value"). Especially when those conclusions will have zero impact on your life.
We get it, you don't like the product and / or the price. Great, you get a cookie. Just don't attack me for not blindly agreeing.
P.S. feel free to have the last word, seems like you need it.
