There's only like 100 reviews stating how the coating comes off either in flakes, onto paper towels, right onto sponges when cleaning, or into food when cooking. Seems super safe 😆. It's PTFE aka Teflon coating.

Can't wait to taste the extra flavor of non-stick "granite" coating. Yum. 🤤

I have this that was part of a 2-pack from Costco about 2 years ago. You get what you pay for. The non-stick is hanging on but the pan seems worn for something that gets used maybe once a week. I would not buy this brand again. It's probably worth about $20 for a few years of occasional use.

What is missing in the project farm's test is long term test. For example, I owe the Ninja - give it 2 weeks and it is no longer non stick.

Hard to do such test with this huge sample, so PF did great as usual. Perhaps a bit unfair to the hex clad on the hardnes test - the picks are pointy, the hex is designed so the utensils glive over the more durable hex area. I am not defending them, never owned one, and I think they are too expensive (you pay for a lot of marketing).

I got that same Costco pan set and was amazed how long it lasted. Over a year later it finally died on me after using every day. Use silicone utensils.
You were amazed that your pan lasted a year? I would be extremely disappointed.

I've had these with glass stovetop, my two warped so they only touch the element with half the pan. Very thin.

Junk. This pretty shiny blue pan will not last.

Have gone through at least 3 of these. Works great until the coating wears off then everything sticks badly.
I haven't found any non-stick that lasts more than six months, just think of all as temporary: buy cheap one when on sale, expect to replace often.

Tramontina Professional or nothing. Non PTFE, heavy, works, proven, reliable, is an established brand not supplying its product to YouTube shills, and lasts as long as any.
This! I buy the tramontina pro series from Costco Business center. I always keep one spare on hand, but they seem to last about 1.5-2years before its time for a refresh thats with using it pretty much 5-6 days a week.

That one is on you. Never put a pan under water until it is cool

I bought a set three years ago. They lasted about one and a half years with not very frequent use. On the other hand I bought a non stock Costco set in 2022 and it's working great still with daily use.

This lasted about 6 months of daily use for me before becoming very sticky.

Didn't realize that's the same thing as Costco 2-pack. Whatever I got from Costco had a flimsy coating that wore out for no reason: even just cooking fried eggs kills it reliably.

Before buying, read some of the reviews. There are some quality issues even with its high rating. Makes you think twice before buying.
