Its been $180 several times last year. This is a middling price if you need something now. It should be cheaper than it currently is, and no doubt will fall below $180 shortly.

And the obvious complaint about the post title...

Have you checked SSD prices lately? They've ALL GONE UP! This isn't going to be $180 anytime soon. SSD pricing hit rock bottom NOV-DEC 2023 and the news was that manufacturers were scaling back production to get inventories down (and to raise prices). It's happening.

When this reputable, name brand drive is one of the cheapest on Amazon and the lesser known brands are more expensive, this should tell you times are changing.
