You shouldn't ever really use anything metal in a nonstick pan
So wait until it isn't on sale and it will be at your price point.
What does that even mean? I have this and it purees, blends, crushes, mixes like you would expect an immersion blender to do.... so, no?

I've had the corded version of this for a few years and the only thing I don't love about it is that it isn't cordless. Pretty sure this is what I paid for the corded version. I use it everyday to blend up my coffee.
If that's all you're using it for, a $10 frother would do the trick. I use one (cordless, rechargeable, <$10) to mix my protein shake.

It comes with a removeable plastic scratch guard. I've used mine with nonstick pans and plastic mixing bowls with the scratch guard and it hasn't been a problem.
I was wondering about that -- you need to use the guard with enameled cast iron, too. I wound up buying a cheap immersion blender with plastic on the bottom from Lidl for making soup in my cast iron Dutch ovens. It's been fine, but I would prefer something more durable since my last one broke on the bottom, though it was a Braun and probably 20 years old.

Curious what justifies the price on this compared to the equally well reviewed $40 options that have more attachments?
Just with anything else you are mainly paying for the brand. They prob use higher quality materials and have better support to justify the premium.

That is why I am interested in the Kitchaid Go system. ( seems like a Target exclusive right now )
Like cordless tools, the removable battery can be charged while the tool(s) are in storage, especially useful when multiple tools, or appliances, use a common battery. One charging station instead of everything out on the counter plugged in and charging before use.

Eventually these kitchen appliances will catch on.

Can someone give some insight for this nooby (me) as to what an immersion blender is vs a regular bulky electric hand mixer other than being smaller?

what if you just put a drill bit attachment but with a blade thing on brushless tools for something like this? I use something similar to clean my tub with a cleaning brush attachment.

yeah exactly my thought. nothing's stopping us from attaching some kind of blade thing to a drill and using it for blending crap.

I use a single hand mixer tool in my drill at work. Could probably jam a metal whisk in there too lol

Just found out the hard way, they don't show the cord, just state in small green writing on the package "(Power Cord Not Shown)"

This product is discontinued and has been for some time. If you ever want an attachment, you will be SOL - you can't even find them used anymore.
