The one at $250 (now sold) was a specific unit that had cosmetic damage. The $300 ones do not.

The PB-1000's for $350 are a great deal for theater use as long as you don't need deep subsonic output or have a large space to cover. I put one of them in a 17x11x9 dedicated theater room and it was ok, but very hard to get even output across all the seating positions. Adding a second PB-1000 to the opposite corner and a receiver (Denon 4700) that could calibrate 2 sub outputs was a massive difference. Much clearer bass that can be felt and more even across the 6 seating positions. Really happy with them

Dang, I don't think there were any standard (non-pro) PB-1000 or PB-2000. Are they finally out of stock of those I wonder? I got a PB-2000 a few years ago during one of these sales and always wanted dual but wasn't ready. Maybe I missed my chance now
