These are very handy to have. Not sure if they are fire code compliant , but no problems using them on my coffee maker at work unlike traditional extension cords with multiple outlets. Definite YMMV.

Probably, but I would want a higher gauge cord just to be safe. Check your user manual for the amperage of the hot pot.

Too risky.

I bought 1800w or so specialized extension cord specially made for radiator heaters but am wary of using it cause even that has reviews where it started a fire.

This is the one I got, mostly good reviews but look at the pictures from some of the reviews.

Probably, long as it isn't one of those air frying combo ones. I think an instapot duo uses up to 10amps. Smaller hot pots use like 5-7 amps which is well below the rating of this cable.

I would say whatever 3 prong item you have is not meant to be extended

I would love to know why you would think that's a fact.

Look on the spec sheet/bottom of the unit. One of these will handle up to 1430watts @ 110v

not knowing what a hot pot is, i looked it up. it was 1200 W.

General rule is not to use extension cords for heating devices.

While in use, if the cord at any location is warm to the touch, it is better not continue using the device or the extension cord.

it is possible that i am over-cautious.

be safe!

p.s. i have too many extension cords and power strips. it is difficult to remember which is which and which is what gauge cord. so now i simply do not use heating devices or high wattage devices with any strip or extension cord. but with low wattage devices such as led lights, alexa devices, etc, i am more relaxed.

If you need the 1' cords they are a cleaner/neater look than excess snakes on the ground.
