Can I get g14 r9 7940Hs RTX 4060 below 1000 dollars?
What? Sort of - well $1050 for the zen4 model with 4060 just some weeks ago. I picked up a mint open-box one from Best Buy for $850, with favorable backlight bleed, and a good, lower Vcore than others I've tested.
The one in this post is a zen3 chip. A zen4 7640hs/6-core performs surprisingly close to a zen3 7735hs 8-core, under all-core load, in my Lenovo Legion testing, and at a lower Wattage, so it can also sustain higher clocks under continuous, heat-soaked load. Plus the 10% light-load clock advantage.
I would not suggest anyone buy a zen3 unless it's hundreds less, all else being equal. The RTX 4050 is pretty underwhelming too - it's not terrible, but it's more like a 5-year-old GTX1080.
This is the so called University size laptop... some people today are buying the Tab S9 Ultra to take notes on, some people buy both plus a small tablet plus a phone and if you are a gamer... oh boy... you got the xbox or play station or gaming system and don't get me on to monitors, mechanical keyboards, but WAIT there is a solution...
