I didn't say I bought 3 of these.

I was referring to buying 3 smartphones and not being able to buy more online.

Sheesh. What is your problem????

Do NOT visit a store. They will charge you activation fees and who knows what else.

See the expired deal thread. Some suggestions:
  • Try a different browser/computer/In-Private session
  • Try a different credit card
  • Try a different address/phone number
  • Try a different name
Some people have said they use the info in LexusNexus db to confirm your identity and if they don't match they will give the error. Sometimes just using a different browser/computer later will work. Otherwise do the other things above.

Some claim they have ordered a few prepaid phones a year, every year without problem. Others have said after 2 they block. Usually most can use different info above and easily order a new one again.

I did my first order ever (see screenshots in original post) and had no problems. I did use in private browser to do so.

The popular deal from last fall is back! (This is a new post because the price has been $60 for over a month and just dropped back to $40 today)
  • Just pay $40 out the door no tax (for most) for 1 month PREPAID service and receive the phone 100% free.
  • You MUST activate and use the phone after receiving to start 180 day countdown to unlock.
  • Just don't turn on auto pay, and service will disconnect after 30 days and you will not be billed for future months on pre-paid.

Includes ONE update to next version of Android. Moto is not as good about updates as Samsung. But the phone is a way better performing phone that similar priced Samsung's. Battery life is often mentioned as way better. Synthetic metrics show significant performance leap with the Snapdragon processor than others in the < $100 price range. It has an IPS screen not OLED.

Performance comparisons between this phone and a Samsung A15:

e.g.
3DMark Sling Shot Extreme (OpenGL ES 3.1)
Moto: 4056 -- Samsung: 2423

PCMark for Android Work 3.0
Moto: 12945 -- Samsung: 8961

PCMark for Android Storage 2.0
Moto: 24067 -- Samsung: 17098

Geekbench Single core:
Moto: 937 -- Samsung: 664

Geekbench Multi core:
Moto: 2682 -- Samsung 1717
On metro site it says 128/6. But I'm pretty sure that they only made 256/6 and 128/4. Any idea?

Eh, what the hell. I've wasted $40 on dumber stuff if it doesn't work out. Would be nice to upgrade from my stylus non-5g 2022, which is somehow worse than my old stylus 2020.

Usually the convenience that they can be issued without waiting for physical SIM and for international travel there are good deals with esim that may not be available for physical sims

Tried normal and private browser in Brave, got to final step and failed identity verification. Will try chrome next.

Update: Now it wants me to call or visit store. Must be three time lockout.

I purchased this phone (but 2022 edition) from the same merchant last year.
The battery is a problem, exhausts a little bit quickly.
