That being said, if you can afford it, my recommendation is go for the new versions that will be released in the coming weeks (you can pre-order now). These new versions offer 32-bit floating and that is day and night. With 32 bit audio you have almost guaranteed good audio.
The equivalent model to this one (Zoom H6essential) goes for $300.
The next model is more simple (Zoom H4essential) and goes for $200.
Finally, the more affordable is the Zoom H1essential and goes for $100.

The new version (Zoom H6essential) lacks the 1/8" / 3.5 mm TRS Female Unbalanced Line/Mic Input. So if that's important to you, that's something to consider (the Zoom H4essential still has one).
I didn't know they were coming out with new zoom but the 32 bit floating processor is a major upgrade.
