I'm far from an expert drummer but have built some proficiency on the trusty Alesis Nitro. I've reached a point where I want something more. Should I look all the way to this, or maybe consider the Alesis Crimson SE 2 or Simmons 1250 as the next step?

Little tip, try smaller diameter sticks. You're going to wreck your joints if you still use 5B on these pads. It's like using a hammer. Go 7A.
