This was such a stupid, pointless cash grabbing release. They did nothing to it. It's literally the original roms running in emulators then they call it the master collection like they remade it to purposely confuse people into buying it.
100%. I'll just wait for the Snake Eater remake.
I'm holding out for $25 or less.

They don't even include all MGS games like they did for the Legacy Collection. Disappointing.

Guns of the Patriots - a remake on ps5 for this makes sense. I am willing to buy it. anything more is a waste of time and money.
This hits the nail on the head. Once the game left playstation plus extra/premium, anyone looking to play it either has to emulate it or dig up an old PS3.
Fortunately, emulating it is in a way better place these days than even just a few years ago (if you have a powerful enough computer). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u34TwCkeESw
Yep. I share the same sentiment. I personally won't give Konami a penny unless they unshackle MGS4 from the PS3 or they actually put in a shred of effort to improve something. The upcoming MGS3 remake has potential, but they'll probably fumble in typical fashion. This was 100% cash grab material.
I have the legacy collection on PS3 (including console) and GZ/TPP on PS5. I have all I need. Give me a reason to spend my money then we'll talk.

After watching the new Silent Hill 2 trailer, my expectations are very low for the MGS3 remake being amazing....
Remember, according to Bloober, what we saw isn't representative of the "real game" or the "real gameplay." That trailer was allegedly purely Konami's doing.
Such BS, I was going to buy until I realize what is on the cartridge and what is not. I dislike when companies are trying to pull a fast one.
Here's what you'll find on the cartridge:
Metal Gear (MSX): The original Metal Gear game.
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake: The sequel to the first game.
Metal Gear (NES): The NES version of Metal Gear.
Snake's Revenge: Another NES game related to the Metal Gear series.
If you own a 1st gen PS3. You'll get better results with the MGS Legacy collection there.
This is literally a copy/paste of the ROMs. No enhancements, not even something as subtle as texture smoothening or anti-aliasing. It's a terrible port. Things end up on woot when Amazon has too much inventory and it's not moving. That should tell you all there is

To the person who thumb me down, you clearly don't know the history of what Konami did to the metal gear franchise...
