This was such a stupid, pointless cash grabbing release. They did nothing to it. It's literally the original roms running in emulators then they call it the master collection like they remade it to purposely confuse people into buying it.

They call this "Master Collection" when it doesn't have MGS1 The Twin Snakes from the Gamecube. Those are Dr. Evil air quotes.

Boy am I pissed at PlayStation and Konami. I had the collection for ps3 because I never played mgs2/3. that one didn't include MGS1 I sold the copy when it was announced there was no backward compatibility with PS4. Around the same time I completely lost MGS1 psone classic I purchased digitally on PS3. After that I'm done buying digital from ps store. At anytime they can remove your content, I don't understand how they haven't been sued for this. The most I'll pay for this is 20.

While it is far from the treatment these games deserve, if you're a PlayStation player you've been unable to play these games since the PS3. It's not a pointless release.

This is literally a copy/paste of the ROMs. No enhancements, not even something as subtle as texture smoothening or anti-aliasing. It's a terrible port. Things end up on woot when Amazon has too much inventory and it's not moving. That should tell you all there is

On-disc. I unashamedly bought this for MGS1 trophy support. MGS2 and 3 are the same as the other releases though and I have not touched them. But if you have a guilty pleasure for trophies, this is the only way to get it for MGS1 as of right now. And MGS1 is in my top 3 of all time, so I had to do it.

I haven't played any of these games except for MGS1 back when it came out. I'd enjoy playing it again on Switch.

I understand a lot of people are bothered by this thing or that thing with this collection, especially with the games not being on the cartridge. But taken on its own merits, and ignoring what it could have been with more effort - are there any actual problems with the Switch version? Are they bad ports?

I honestly even forgot where the name, came form. lol. But now when you mention it I remember because solid snake usually did well in gamefaqs character battles. lol. I never played it, though. I can't remember if I ever played the ORIIGNAL metal gear or not either. I think maybe I did.
