This is FUD.

I use these guys often. Their support is bad, but I've never not been able to disable auto-renewal, though you do have to leave it on until your final month for it to renew properly.

I actually ported out today because my 6-month promo was expiring tonight - jumped to Infimobile's 6-mo offer - I got my transfer PIN and account number via chat, and the port completed in minutes.
I agree, I have also used it in the past and the service was fine and while the support is not great but okay, when I wanted to port out I had to call the customer service and was able to talk to someone and was able port out immediately without any issues. One thing I would recommend for anyone willing to try them out is to take a picture of the PUK code and other Sim info which comes along with the Sim card and also keeping the address info in your profile accurate - just in case you would need it while porting out.

There are none actually. Lyca is more reliable even compared to mint mobile. First hand user for years. I only changed because of their international roaming policy. Within us nothing better this on data prioritization
Lyca has been around much longer than Mint and they work well with travel in Europe. Daughter used them in Spain, Portugal, Morocco, France, UK and a few others without issues.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it is really the "phone" that is disconnecting.

Shilldeals, You need to disclose that you are being compensated by the scam company you are posting. You do understand Federal Communications law, don't you, you sloping foreheaded dipshits?

Deals like this are why I bought a non US iPhone 15 that has a physical sim card slot AND eSim. Dual esim is just dumb. Not sure why Apple felt the need to only do that in the US.

Nopes, it is the Lyca mobile services. At times I am able to reach him on whatsapp but not on his cell phone when he is at his home with wifi access. He lives at a place where all the three major providers have pretty good service.
Well that is my experience. Others might be getting wonderful service from them

I took advantage of a similar offer (6 months for $45) about six months ago, despite all the complaining and horror stories on that thread. My experience:
Activation was seamless. I didn't have to call anyone, and didn't experience any delays. I just filled out the activation & porting page on the website and my number ported in about 10 minutes and the SIM card started working.

I live in a rural area, but despite that I usually have a good 5G signal, and in urban areas I have 5G UC. It has been blazing fast and rock solid. I have certainly never noticed any throttling, even when traveling. Hotspot and tethering work great.

Today I called customer service to obtain my account number and PIN, since I'm switching over to another MVNO & promotion in a few days. CS answered in about 1 minute, didn't hassle me at all - they just confirmed my identity, and gave me the details I need to port out.

In summary, I have been nothing but satisfied with Lycamobile. I wish I could renew at the same promo rate. But since I'm a cheapskate I'm switching to someone else for a while. I'll probably be back.

Based on my personal experience not recommend joining Lyca. They give nice offers to pull customers, but it is very hard to port out and bring your number back.

I tried to port out to Xfinity and Visible, both places I got error, I can not port my number as it's not active phone number. But the number was active on LycaMobile. They held me for 3-4 days till my plan expired and then they asked me to recharge again to get my number back.

Lyca just activated my eSIM. They said extra 7$ to ship a physical sim.
Has anyone gotten WiFi Calling to work? If so, are you on Android or iOS?

More specifically it says: "Unlimited International calls to first 10 dialed numbers per country."
This means you get a (unlimited amount of calls) to the (ten numbers you dialed) for (each international country) that they list.
Seems pretty alright to me, you'd probably only call your relatives or friends in that country and if you have more than 10 friends / family in that country then that's unfortunate.
