You will be charged $150 today and on the backend a credit for that amount will be placed on your SIM.

When you activate, the SIM uses its $150 credit to purchase 1 year of service at the discounted rate of $150.

If you fail to activate in the time frame, which is anywhere from 3-6 months, they will charge you full price (an additional $150) and add it to the SIM cards balance for when/if you ever activate it.

No matter what, you are purchasing 1 year of service and the SIM card they send will forever have 1 year of prepaid service sitting on it. Whether you activate in 1 day or 3 years it will still work, the only difference is whether you pay $150 or $300 for that SIM.

I ported out a few weeks back. It took about 2 hours. I had to call in and get the account and pin first. It took a few redirects and waits, and attempts by them to get me to stay. But this took about 30-45 mins. Then I had to call again as during thr port out process, they don't automatically approve it. It again took a few redirects and waiting and upsell and finally was able to port out.

Boost Mobile customer service is the worst. The first 2 layers of customer service cannot speak freely or answer your questions. They are only allowed to respond with a few scripted sentences. Keep asking for a manager or supervisor and pray you don't disconnect during the 45 minute wait.

Wasted so much time and energy when I bit on a Slick Deal last year and they overcharged me $180 which took 10+ calls and 2 months to get back (They initially issued it as credit to my account and I had to fight even more to get it back to my card)

Has anyone actually switched from T-mobile SIM to ATT SIM with Boost mobile after activating service purchased online such as this deal?

The reddit thread says only a store associate can do this for you and mentions a black SIM card. Would one need to purchase the ATT flavor of SIM card in the store?

Believe my family member has the ATT flavor of Boost's unlimited due to his using the retail store to purchase the phone and service. He signed up in early 2023 I think. His signal is WAY stronger than mine on T-mobile and I will jump through hoops and buy a new SIM in the retail store if it gets me onto that sweet sweet ATT goodness!

BoostmobileDani (Boost support agent) on Reddit confirmed that we can activate the line whenever we want. No need to do it in 30 days.
I know but the representative clearly told me that even if I port in and activate the SIM card two months later the 12 month will start from the moment I purchased the promotion

As I said in the wiki, I do not believe it is possible to change network sims AFTER activation and also retain this discounted plan. Everything (network chosen & porting or no porting) must be done at the time of activation.

The At&t sim costs $10 on ebay. Provided the Boost store is willing to help you, they probably charge about $10 as well. It is possible the store rep would add additional charges for the service. There is just no universal experience from users visiting a store.

Starting the service time even though the sim has not been activated yet does not make sense to me. I believe you should able to get the full 12 months even if you delay activation a couple months or more. Porting would be done at the same time as activation.

Can we use three $50 gift cards from target to save another $15? Can you use an eSIM?

Payment methods accepted are: Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, and PayPal. You cannot purchase this deal using 3 Boost top-up cards. If you want to save a few more dollars off the $150, use the cashback site that starts with T.

eSim works only for newer Apple devices. Android not yet supported. I forgot to add this to the wiki.

Not sure if the chat agents give out the same info to everyone. I asked them when is the promo ending and they said "At this time, we do not have an information on when will the promotion end".

And then asked - If I choose to port out and activate after 3 months, will the 12 months start from the day I activate the SIM and port out? . Their answer " If you're going to bring a phone number from a different carrier, the 12 months will start on the day that your phone number was transferred to us."

I got a surprise email this morning saying "You've successfully activated your service" and my SIM hasn't even shipped yet!

I hadn't even created an account, but sure enough, upon creation it showed 29 days remaining in first cycle.

So much for waiting a month or two to activate. And how can they say I'm using it when it hasn't even shipped?

Did you decide to port in your number or is it a new activation?

Sounds like you did not change the check box on the lower left to: Yes, I will transfer my number during activation.

Here is the language that is under the Buy Now button in the cart: "If you are getting a new phone number, your SIM will be automatically activated 2-3 days after order."

Wow yeah and I just saw it's in the Wiki. Didn't read it thoroughly enough. So yeah everyone else, make sure you check the box "Yes, I will transfer my number during activation" even if you plan on getting a new number
