You will be charged $150 today and on the backend a credit for that amount will be placed on your SIM.

When you activate, the SIM uses its $150 credit to purchase 1 year of service at the discounted rate of $150.

If you fail to activate in the time frame, which is anywhere from 3-6 months, they will charge you full price (an additional $150) and add it to the SIM cards balance for when/if you ever activate it.

No matter what, you are purchasing 1 year of service and the SIM card they send will forever have 1 year of prepaid service sitting on it. Whether you activate in 1 day or 3 years it will still work, the only difference is whether you pay $150 or $300 for that SIM.

I ported out a few weeks back. It took about 2 hours. I had to call in and get the account and pin first. It took a few redirects and waits, and attempts by them to get me to stay. But this took about 30-45 mins. Then I had to call again as during thr port out process, they don't automatically approve it. It again took a few redirects and waiting and upsell and finally was able to port out.

Boost Mobile customer service is the worst. The first 2 layers of customer service cannot speak freely or answer your questions. They are only allowed to respond with a few scripted sentences. Keep asking for a manager or supervisor and pray you don't disconnect during the 45 minute wait.

Wasted so much time and energy when I bit on a Slick Deal last year and they overcharged me $180 which took 10+ calls and 2 months to get back (They initially issued it as credit to my account and I had to fight even more to get it back to my card)

yea. make sure you have an ATT compatible phone.
Honestly, this is probably the reason Boost seems to primarily ship T-Mobile SIMs -- T-Mobile doesn't keep a whitelist, so potentially less compatibility issues.

This might be phone specific. What device do you have?
Moto G84 which supports all 5g bands in the world and it is the most compatible 5g device till date ( ref:GSMarena)

The Moto G84 is not a device from any US carrier. Nor is it even marketed for the US. Instead, the phone was intended for the European market.

At&t is finicky about what phones will be allowed on their network and have full functionality. Anything not on their whitelist is lucky to get activated, yet alone have everything working properly.

The issue with tmobile is not the speed but heavy deprioritization. I have mint and speeds are over 100mpbs many times but deprioritization is bad in peak hours and it's almost unusable for me.
T-mobile MVNO is QCI7, one level down from the top QCI6.

AT&T MVNO unlimited is QCI9, the lowest of the four tiers of AT&T QCI.

Maybe it is not T-mobile deprioritization but network coverage or device issues.

Any source on QCI 7? For tmobile it's QCI 8 from what I have read. ATT uses two QCI 8 and 9 for majority of plans. Also QCI across networks are not comparable.

I have had same issue on different devices.

Does the cashback site only give $25 for the first order? I'm not seeing a tracked report for my second order.

Any trick to ensure at&t service? I'm not interested in T-Mobile at all.
Yes, we can do at&t instead of the sent T mobile sim. Just go to a boost mobile store ask for a boost at&t (black sim) they will sell for 9.99 and after that I just went home went to boost mobile activation and entered iccid of the new boost at&t sim and entered my old Carrier account and pin and within 5-10min my account activated. Remember to choose bring ur own number (port in) don't ask for new number because they will activate the Sim they ship. Even if you need new number just say bring ur own number and later u can request for new number in activation page.

So I went to a local boost mobile store and purchased black SIM(At&T) and used that to activate service(port in), I just used black SIM ICC ID during activation and all went well. Now my question is, as I activated using black sim, does that automatically mean I'm getting AT&T service? Or is there a way to check if I'm getting T-Mobile or AT&T service?

UPDATE: I chatted with customer service and was told my service was activated on AT&T.

Is there any way to convert this art sim to an eSIM ? Or will it be T-Mobile always with esim ?

I don't think you could convert physical At&t sim to esim if you received T-Mobile SIM from boost. However, to get around this I think first you can activate the physical sim which will get you on AT&T and then contact customer service later to convert it to esim(I think once you activate on one service it can't be changed)

Can I activate a new Boost account using a sim card that was already used recently with Boost, but got transferred to an esim, so it's not currently active?

Anyone able to get Wifi calling to work? I had no success on two phones that worked fine on other carriers (including a $3/mo Ultra Mobile plan)
