You will be charged $150 today and on the backend a credit for that amount will be placed on your SIM.

When you activate, the SIM uses its $150 credit to purchase 1 year of service at the discounted rate of $150.

If you fail to activate in the time frame, which is anywhere from 3-6 months, they will charge you full price (an additional $150) and add it to the SIM cards balance for when/if you ever activate it.

No matter what, you are purchasing 1 year of service and the SIM card they send will forever have 1 year of prepaid service sitting on it. Whether you activate in 1 day or 3 years it will still work, the only difference is whether you pay $150 or $300 for that SIM.

I ported out a few weeks back. It took about 2 hours. I had to call in and get the account and pin first. It took a few redirects and waits, and attempts by them to get me to stay. But this took about 30-45 mins. Then I had to call again as during thr port out process, they don't automatically approve it. It again took a few redirects and waiting and upsell and finally was able to port out.

Boost Mobile customer service is the worst. The first 2 layers of customer service cannot speak freely or answer your questions. They are only allowed to respond with a few scripted sentences. Keep asking for a manager or supervisor and pray you don't disconnect during the 45 minute wait.

Wasted so much time and energy when I bit on a Slick Deal last year and they overcharged me $180 which took 10+ calls and 2 months to get back (They initially issued it as credit to my account and I had to fight even more to get it back to my card)

Boost has terrible customer support. I had them add the $5 extra data for one month and now they can't get it removed. Every month for about a year I'm charged an extra $5 (not using close to 35 gb). Chat takes 45 minutes and then they only issue me a $5 credit. As soon as my credit is spent I'm looking for an alternate service.

This deal is live again. Should I get hold of an ATT sim first before I order or should I try zip code trick?

Folks have mentioned here being able to perform Boost Mobile to Boost Mobile ports during SIM activation - I'm inclined to believe that's true. I plan on testing this out.

In any case, you can port out to US Mobile's 30-day free trial and subsequently port back into this promo.

How does it work? Get the port out details, and then when porting it, put Boost as the original carrier and fill everything out?

Thanks for confirming it worked for you. I assume you need a separate account with a different email address for the new activation. Was there any lapse in service? Do you have to switch underlying carrier for the port to go through?

I bought this in Feb 2024. On Monday Boost Mobile charged my card over $300. I reached out to them. They said they opened a case, but I have note heard from them. Anyone else have this issue?

You purchased just the annual plan without a device? Did you activate it? There were reports several months ago that people who bought discounted devices and failed to activate were charged the full price for the device after receiving a warning email to activate.

Thanks I did annual without device and have been using it since February. The chat folks dont seem to have any info. One said if they refund it will take between 10-30 business days. I am not happy at all with them about this. I am going to dispute with my cc company. I just wondered if others got this.
