Step 4: Redeem your free pizza by ordering in the Pizza Hut mobile app. Log into your Hut Rewards account in the Pizza Hut mobile app, go to your app inbox, click on the Free Large 1-Topping Pizza coupon and start your order! Coupon expires 15 days after receipt so make it a pizza night!

All customers who complete a qualifying order are eligible to receive a digital coupon to redeem a Free Large 1-Topping Pizza. Customer will have to:
1) be an existing Hut Rewards member or sign-up for Hut Rewards within 48 hours of purchase,

Free offer shows up in apps messages. Do not click the "x" to exit the messages as that actually DELETES the message. So now I don't think I have a way to get the free pizza. I inadvertently deleted that message when I thought I was just exiting the messages screen. I'm contacting pizza hut but that's poor if that message is the only way to redeem offer and they don't let you know that x is to delete the message

I said "spammed," not "scammed." No scamming involved. Their website allowed the coupon to be applied to an order of $20+ that contained a Big Dinner Box for YEARS. I don't recall when I first discovered it, but it used the coupon in this manner on almost a weekly basis for almost 4-5 years from 2014 to 2019. I almost always paid in-store at pickup as well, so they certainly saw the final price and knew a promotion had been used.

I believe the $10 coupons continued on for a little while after they stopped working for the Big Dinner Box. I am not sure when those coupons officially went away, but that was only in the past few years after 2020.

Back on topic: This deal seemed to work for me, as I received an email this morning saying that I have a free large pizza: "Valid for 15 days, offer can be found in your Account on the Pizza Hut App." However, I do not actually see this anywhere in the app. So, we'll see if they fix it.

EDIT: It is working on the app now. You should have a "message" for it when you go to your account, and it lets you order it from there.

From what I recall, the price varied by location. I think the pricing was pretty consistent during those years, though. I recall ordering it from a base price of $18.99 up to $20.99. Then, to get it over the $20 threshold, you had to choose an upgrade option and/or possibly add one small side item, like marinara sauce. Cheese sticks were a common upgrade ($1 extra).
