Not sure if vegan protein will make a difference but it's worth a shot. Hopefully it's not as chalky as the Owyn, which put me off vegan protein in the first place.

Any pea protein is going to have a lower DIAAS score than whey or casein. Unless you have a sensitivity to either of those, or are actually vegan, the milk based proteins are going to be more bioavailable.
Only reason I prefer pea protein is cause I'm lactose intolerant
Not everyone can process beans particularly well. They can cause a lot of GI problems for people. Protein can as well, but there is usually some types of protein that just about everyone can handle.
