Was a really cool concept. Imagine an escape room but in a paper card game concept. You go card by card, room by room, in a somewhat chronological order to figure out clues to solve the mystery. We got it at an Amazon returns store for around this price. Took 4 of us around 3 hours.

One important thing to know is once you play it you can't play it again as you have solved the mystery. Right below the clock icon it shows in small print on the box that it's a "one time solve game". It's not like the typical clue board game.

Is it truly one-time play?

I have played a few of the "The Exit" games, and while you have a puzzle where you have to cut up material, it's still mostly playable for another family member at another time, and sometimes the cut material doesn't even make the solution immediately obvious for the next person.

Nope nothing is destroyed in this game. Another person can reuse it but once you solve it no way to play it again without spoilers

Can you elaborate on your "found it an an Amazon Returns store?" What is that?

So in Kansas City there are two big stores/chains. Cargo Largo and Retail Rebel. Both sell overstock and returns from Amazon, Walmart, Samsclub, Kroger, US Foods, Kohls, etc. Cargo Largo is more of a TJMaxx/Ross format in that there are different departments but has somewhat better quality stuff. Retail Rebel is more of a bin store where on Saturdays the bins are filled with random items and start at $10. Then the prices drop until items are 0.50 till they reset.

Niche type of stores that some may or may not like. Saved me thousands of dollars on stuff tho

Sounds fun! Thanks for the response. We're in the Seattle area so was hoping something local. I bet that's a hoot to go dig through Smilie Thanks!
