This has already been pointed out by numerous others on this thread. I'm sure that some boneheaded person will think it is a good idea to reach out to MLB.TV to verify it. DO NOT CONTACT MLB.TV. Assuming this is an error, contacting them will guarantee that it gets fixed and ruin it for everyone here who got a 2023 subscription.

It's not available until 3/26. You should be able to see the announcment in the T-Life app by scrolling down to and tapping on "What's new" on the Home tab.

It's a bit silly that this thread is front page news a month ahead of the offer's availability.

Yeah, my understanding is that when you first install the MLB app when first redeemed through the TMo link, it sets up the MLB subscription and links it to your Apple account (even if you haven't necessarily created an MLB account yet). Then the MLB app itself communicates with the linked Apple account and also keeps a cached copy of the license on the app so that it doesn't have to constantly communicate with your Apple account about the subscription. However, if you delete the MLB app at some point, that cached copy goes away since its settings are removed with the app. Thus, if you reinstall the MLB app, you first need to tell it to verify your Apple-linked MLB subscription again so that it knows you're a premium member. That's what the "restore purchase" thing is about. Then the app can make the transfer from an Apple-linked subscription to your MLB online account (through the procedure linked previously) so that it can be used from non-Apple devices. (Again, this is my understanding of it based on what I've seen posted).
Okay I asked the person to do those steps. That person first logged into their mlb account on the mlb app on their iphone where the code is supposedly in the apple id correct? Then they click on top right and account settings. Where is this Connect Purchase to MLB and log in with your registered mlb account and password? That person showed me a short video of it and going to account settings and scrolling down and there is no Connect Purchase to MLB anywhere at all. The only thing showing in account settings that is close to that is restore account that comes close to that. There is nothing that shows Connect Purchase to MLB anywhere there.

Now in the area where it shows Restore Account and Subscription Management. I asked that person to open up one of the scores and check if you could watch any of the games live and they said no.

Do you or anyone have a clue why it doesn't show Connect Purchase to MLB anywhere? I mean you are suppose to be logged in before you do all this right? The other thing is when I gave this person a throwaway gmail email address to use to sign up for the account, it is my throwaway email and they created a random password and use that to log into the mlb app on their iphone. I also logged into it on my laptop last time when I noticed I didn't even have an mlb tv subscription. So is the mlb code in the apple id? But how do you convert it then? The throwaway email that is used to create an mlb account, obviously that is my throwaway email account and not their apple id email but that should not have caused any issues right? I asked that person if they are logged into their apple id and they said yes because otherwise how would they even download any apps on their iphone. Do you or anyone else know what exactly is the issue here?

Yep. When I reinstall the apps, they was nothing (aka, no show, no etc,) I look around and saw that same info about restored purchases.

I also took a look at the URL from the tlife app (i saved it), and when i open the url with the app, it said that it was 'already redeem'. This was before I restored purchase. After I restored purchase, i was able to stream the mlb.tv live show without 'log in' (i was able to see the login option, etc).

And than i follow your post, and connect it to an account. I was going to signup for it, but remember i had an extra account, and login with that (no subscription was on it), and afterward, I was able to login to the desktop, and check the information and the account has 2024 tmobile access subscription. Once I log off of the MLB.TV app, and tried to 'restored purchase', nothing happen and I couldn't see any live MLB.TV show.

So, yes. if you uninstall at any point, you could restore purchase, and it'll be relink to to your AppleID, and you can connect it to a MLB.TV account (not connect, more like push it toward them) or signup for a new mlb.tv account. my AppleID and the mlb.tv doesn't share the same email.
Can you take a look at my last post and give me your opinion on this? This person did delete the mlb app once and downloaded it again since I told them to do it because they didn't get a code but doing that still didn't work.

Right now, there isn't even an option of Connect Purchase to MLB in account settings in the mlb app on that iphone. So you are saying, that person should click on restore account and that would solve all these issues? After clicking restore account, what exactly do you need to click on to make sure the account works. There is no mlb tb subscription in the account as that person said there isn't.

Yeah, I downloaded the app and also do not see "Connect purchase to MLB". I believe that option will only show up when the MLB app recognizes that it has a valid subscription attached to the Apple account. You would need to do the "restore account" command first (assuming that the subscription is actually attached to the corresponding Apple account). Note that in the app, there is a heading of "restore account" in the main menu right under the "help" menu, but that's not the one you want (see edit below) You need to go into the "Account Settings" menu and then click "restore account". At that point, it should immediately prompt you for your Apple ID login. If it retrieves the subscription successfully, it then should allow you to watch games and hopefully give the option to "connect purchase to MLB". If it still doesn't work after all that, it may simply not have the subscription attached to the account. I would start each of the procedures logged out of the MLB account and just log in if prompted to do so, as that seems to be what the instructions indicate.

Edit: actually, it llooks like the "restore account" option under the "help" menu that I mentioned above would probably also work, but you need to click on "restore purchase" once you get to the page in that menu. At that point, it then prompts for your Apple ID login. So it looks like they may both do the same thing, but just an extra button to click one way. I think the key is that it should prompt for the Apple ID login, as that seems to indicate that it's checking the account for the subscription.

if they click 'restore account" or 'restore purchase", they'll be able to watch live baseball, that's the only way that I know that verified that I have the 2024 season pass. There's no other way to see it (aka, you can't go look at subscription and etc because you dont 'technically' have an MLB.TV account".

If they can get that live stream, than they can connect purchase to the an existing mlb.tv account or a new account. i dont know what else to say. that's how i got mine working.

Yeah, they might have finally killed it altogether now. I'm not sure that anyone else has any codes left to even double-check at this point. It's been a couple of days since I've seen anyone offering unclaimed codes. If so, that may be the end of code trading and it might be down to just pre-made accounts now.
Pretty much confirmed. was able to get a code, and try to redeem it on existing account and got this.

"Code Expired
The promotion code you have entered has expired. Please enter a new code to redeem your subscription. For more information, please visit MLB.TV/SUPPORT."

It'll said "invalid promo" or "redeem promo" if its anything else. So, all codes are invalid. it's just accounts with subscription now.

So anything that shows restore account would work then? I recalled there is the restore account in account settings but restore account also appeared in another thing if you click on it?

I don't recall restore purchase anywhere shown in the mlb app on the iphone?

Okay so click restore account and that is all? But when you do this, then you can then log out of the mlb account on the mlb on the iphone, and then log in that mlb account on a laptop right?

So restore account would fix this most likely then right? Would be using the same mlb throwaway account that was created right?

Again, I haven't done it, but it looks like they probably both do the same thing from what I've seen. Here's a quick vid showing the two different places where you can click "restore account". The first way is from the main menu and the second one is under main menu and then "account settings". I didn't actually go through to the point where it asks for the Apple ID in the vid, but just made the buttons flicker to show where they're at in the app. And then, assuming that restores the subscription to the MLB app, there would hopefully appear an option to "Connect purchase to MLB" which would then prompt you to log in to the dummy MLB account you have set up for it.

What do you mean you would start the procedure logged out first? Don't you need to be logged in before you click on restore account? The video the person sent me showed them logged in and all those options. Shouldn't you be logged in when you do this? If you are not even logged in mlb app, how could you even click on my account and restore account then? Unless you mean something else?

Yea I recall there was restore account in 2 different locations in the mlb app on the iphone in the video that was sent to me.

Yea the 2 places where the restore account is at is the main menu and and one under account settings. That person showed me a video of it so I thought it was the same thing.

But you are suppose to do that while logged out of the mlb account that was created? That is what has me confused here as if you are not logged into mlb account, aren't you going to have to be logged in first? Not sure how you would even go to main menu and account settings if you are logged out of the mlb account?

That video I linked was made from my iPhone while I was _not_ logged into an MLB account. As Samuez mentioned previously, you can do most everything on the iPhone version of the MLB app without ever being logged into an MLB account. I would be logged out of the MLB account in doing all those steps until you actually click "connect purchase to MLB" (where it would hopefully prompt you for your MLB login at that point). Again, I don't know if it may also be possible to do when already logged into the MLB account, but the directions seem to indicate starting the procedures while logged out of MLB.

I didn't know you could do on that on the iphone with the mlb app without being logged on. Okay so do that while being logged out. So after you then click on connect purchase to mlb, you then enter your mlb account login and then that is all? The thing is that person has their mlb username/password automatically saved to the mlb account I believe so you would need to make sure you don't save the settings then?

Yeah, that's what it sounds like to me. If he's automatically logged in to the MLB account, he can just manually hit "log out" before starting the process. That usually shows up somewhere under the account settings menu.

mine was a throwaway mlb.tv account that I created a few days ago. i've never log in to the mlb.tv app until i connect the purchase to the existing throwaway mlb.tv account.
