Buy a Nokia T20 tablet instead.. it's 1/3 the price at $150 and even comes with FM Radio built in!
The tablet you're referencing indeed costs 1/3 the price. But it has 64GB (1/4) the built in storage. And its CPU (the Unisoc T610) is roughly 1/3 as powerful as the Tensor G2. (Source: https://www.notebookcheck.com/T61...52.0.html)
Plus, the Nokia lacks any sort of speaker dock, which I think is a large part of the value proposal here.
No doubt, this Google tablet is not the cheapest. There are plenty of bargain tablets out there. But I think they fulfill different needs.
IMHO, for most people there's probably a better solution somewhere in the middle -- like an open-box older generation Galaxy Tab. A couple of years ago for Christmas, I bought my little sister an open-box Tab S6 direct from Amazon for like $199. Maybe, if you look, you can now find an S7 in that range? But again, that's just my take.
I had a coupon - 40% off and it was exactly fair price for this. It's cool to consume some content, read books or put on dock(speaker is good). Android works very good with it, im almost all in in pixel ecosystem
Yep. When it's docked, it's basically the Google home hub max with a refreshed skin. When it's off the dock, it's an Android tablet.
Do you happen to know if it plays well with Ring cameras when on the dock? I'd much rather have a nest hub than an echo show but unfortunately the echo is the only smart speaker that will work with Ring cameras (Unless things have changed since I last looked into it).
I find it very hard to believe there aren't any decent iPad speaker docks.
This tablet seems like a pretty questionable purchase at this price compared to waiting for a deal on a Galaxy Tab
They really are not existent man. Look it up. The ones around are for older iPads and aren't made by apple so it's not integrated well. Im guessing this docking station puts the android tablet into a different mode. Apple doesn't have that.
