A lot of Brother printers are basically immortal when not abused. Mine (an HL2270DW) is going on a decade of on/off printing, never failing to recover even after 6 months of no printing - which is basically unheard of in the inkjet world.

Do they actually check them over, make sure everything is included (including fresh toner), or are they just open-box returns?
Factory-refurbs, whether from Brother, Apple, or whomever, are usually safe bets, and carry the same warranty terms.
The true Brother refurb [brother-usa.com] carries a 2-year warranty, albeit at a much higher price.
Whether that is worth it is up to the buyer and their individual tolerance for hassle, but it would still be helpful to help people make informed decisions.

I've got the 2280 I've been waiting 10 years for it to die to invest in a color laser printer. It hasn't. Still going strong.

I bought the 2325DW refurbished from a previous deal a month ago, the unit only had 16 prints done before and came with a brand new toner
It seems to me that "inspected, cleaned and tested" falls short of a reasonable definition of refurbished.

How to find out how many prints this unit has printed?I'm new to brand so don't hv much idea about it
Hit the printer's ip address from a browser you will get to the administration page of the printer which has a bunch of information. The user name and password is located at the back of the printer, just like how you do on the router.
You could still print with a connected cord. I have the same air print issue with one of my brother printers but it doesn't stop me from printing. It's annoying but I still will connect via cord if i need the print job.

And WM's return policy can serve as a fallback.
I have a 12-year old Brother printer that is still as good as the day I bought it, but it would be nice to have something newer with duplexing.
