I run Unraid on this motherboard because it has 4 PCI-E 4.0 M2 slots, two PCI-E 3.0 x4 electrical slots for storage controllers or 10gb network, a 5.0 x16 for a gpu or storage, and a 3.0 x1 I use with a dual 2.5GB Intel I226-V nic. That connectivity makes it a unicorn.

Not sure if this is true for acer, but I've had good luck on other motherboards with difficult bios by using the windows troubleshooter to boot to efi bios rather than trying to hit a button during POST. I think you just hold down ctrl when you reboot and it will go into troubleshoot mode and give the option to boot to bios.
I tried that it didnt work, I went to recovery wanted options on reboot, i didnt get the options I downloaded Win 11 to reinstall it from scratch, pain in the neck, but now I want to rule out Win 11, that might be my issue. I feel now it may not be this mb because a year ago, I had a defective Acer mb, replaced it without reinstalling win 11

this is an excellent board. i am using it right now and it's holding a 12700k at 5.2 all core without breaking a sweat and handles ddr4 4400.

if you want to stay on ddr4 this board is the way to go.

I currently have this board and running 3000MHz C15 RAM @ 32GB. Do you have any recommendations for a good set of 4400MHz RAM? Would it actually make any kind of meaningful difference in my performance, or is it not worth it? It'd be paired with my current 12900k, for reference.

Reason I ask is because my friend needs some RAM, and I was thinking of donating mine to him and grabbing a 3600 C18 set, but now curious about potentially getting 4400 if it's worth it.

I have this mobo now for my 12900K build. It's a really good motherboard. Originally I bought Asus mobo for the build, but it was a nightmare with Asus mobo with endless BSOD tested with 5 - 6 different RAMS and 3 - 4 of them are on QVL list.

Switched to this MSI mobo and it's working immediately with not a single BSOD until now. RAM is 4400 MHz CL19 running XMP. I'll never go back to ASUS motherboard.

g.skill tridentz has been good to me so far, i was running mushkin redline 4133 before the trident and that also worked well on intel, but had issues on my amd systems.

the jump from 4000 to 4133 to 4400 probably won't be super noticeable. so i'd just buy whatever speed hits the price point you wanna pull at, any of them will be noticeable from the 3000 set you are running currently.

I'm using 32 GB Crucial Ballistix MAX 4400 CL19 BLM2K16G44C19U4B. It's really good and fast. Very stable with this MSI mobo running XMP.

I bought this board when it first came out. Soo many headaches, from not having a BIOs installed to support my ram, cpu. Also took an hour of boot cycling for BIOs to finally post correctly. That being said, the board has been great after the initial headaches. I also paid $99 for it when people were just dumping this board off at ebay because newegg was bundling their GPUs with mobos people didn't want.
