Instead of trying to do a hack isn't this Costco deal for $199 a better deal? Granted you need membership or pay 5% premium but it's 80v battery and 800cfm blower.

What is the manufactured date on the 5amp battery for yours?

Mine was the box beaten up and the manufactured date is back in Feb 2023.

That's the one I originally purchased but then saw the ego brand was cheaper. Ended up cancelling the off brand. But honestly, they all do the same function.

It's not Ego. That is probably greenwork. For me, I am in Ego system, got their lawn mower, weedeater, and the blower backpack. I needed extra batteries since the old 4 AH (5 years. I didn't bother to contact Ego sonce. it's too old) just died Frown

Yes still working. They actually returned the original itemized costs so it's a sweet deal again. $187+ tax if applicable for the blower, 5 ah battery and charger after returning the 2.5ah battery.

personal preference, older and weaker arms use the 2.5ah battery with frequent swaps over the heavier 5Ah. I use dual handhelds. The 5Ah is nice but even trimmer seems unbalanced with it.

The blower and battery must be delivered. Once the items show as available to return, then the ability to select the battery only for the return is available.

I returned the battery and was credited $101.89, this is with tax included.
