Walmart has the
RCA RPJ167 1080P 450 ANSI lumen LED projector for $65 free shipping
This item is now on
clearance so who knows how long they will still have it before it runs out.

This price is only $5 higher than BF price. This projector is of course significantly higher than the sold-out RPJ280 ($30) but you get a significantly higher lumen with
THREE female HDMI ports (instead of only 2 female HDMI, one male HDMI within a weird recess on the RPJ280)
- 50,000hr LED lamp life
- Also has two USB 2.0 to power stream stick as well as to plug in the flash drive to show movies and listen to music
- Has two 5W speakers. Not very loud but will work decently for quiet environment.
- I have this as well as the RPJ280 and I think the price premium of the RPJ167 over the RPJ280 is worth it. You do get a better built product in the RPJ167 compared to the RPJ280
- There is also a 4K interpolation mode that allows this projector to emulate 2160p at 30hz. Found this out when connecting it to my laptop.

This is definitely not one of those. This one even has a usable 2160p 30hz emulation as an unlisted feature
The corner blur issue is definitely less of the issue on this one compared to the RPJ280. I also have the Vankyo V620 which does have the corner blur issue.
Of all the three cheap projectors, this one is definitely the best one IMO
Image gets soft/out of focus around the corners, and I'd expect that's going to be standard on any projector in this price range. I've hooked an Xbox Series S up to it and had a lot of fun playing Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy at 100". It's immersive in a way that smaller TVs just can't match. Obviously there's a hit to picture quality vs whatever 4K TV you currently have, but again just going in with your expectations at reasonable levels I think most anyone would enjoy it for what it is. I get mine out any time were doing a movie night at home and it's just fun, and everyone likes being at the "theater".
Anyway, I hope that helps and feel free to ask any other questions!

I plan on returning it because of that, but if you are less noise sensitive I still think it's a great deal.

How's the focusing at the edge for you? Seem pretty decent for me. yours ok too?
Yet to get mine but any suggestions on cheap screen(portable) to go with this?

cost almost as much as the projector though. i just use white wall if possible...lol
any specific models you'd recommend to keep an eye out for?
I got a refurb BenQ TK800 in 2019 for $760. Still using it in 2024 without any issues. It even does 3D, which is pretty fun with the kid. I think there are newer models out now but just set a SD alert for 4K projectors and wait for something good to come along.

As long as your room has minimal light and not projecting an image bigger than 100in, this thing has fairly decent brightness.
1. There's something in there causing a black shadow of a quarter, it shows up towards the bottom of the screen. I tried to turn it off and on but same result. (thinking to return and and buy a new one or followup with RCA)
2. Minor issue wire length is small(manageable)
3. It has to be exact distance away from the wall or wherever you are projecting to have the focus.
Overall pretty happy with it and picture quality and brightness is much better than what I have seen in sub $200 range

I would just return it and reorder one right now

Will click a picture and share it later today. That shadow thing is so small and I like the projector, part of me thinking if I get a new one it may have similar or some other issue. This shadow shows up in the area where it shows 1080p 30hz etc in blue background(easily noticeable)

Haven't gotten it yet, but I just ordered a cheap one off temu for less than $10. Good? Probably not. Good enough, like this project is good enough...I'd think so.
