The box was all beaten up, had a sticker called "New Item" on it. When openned the box, the wraps were wrinkled up and the battery box was beaten up as well. The battery was manufactured back in Feb 2023.
It does not looked like its been used but battery is for sure more than a year old.
edit: Amazon gave me a UPS tracking number, and UPS shows this shipment. Just checked Fedex and it shipped out via Fedex on the 15th, 8 days after it said it shipped via UPS. Weird. Never had this before on Amazon.

The quality of EGO is not great. I bought this mower last year and it broke in 2 months. There is a problem with the safety electronics and assembly of these mowers. When you fold it down for storage things get messed up. Just google EGO mower doesn't start and you will see. Not a big deal right, 5 year warranty! HOWEVER, if you call for warranty problem 2 begins. You have to take it into one of there service centers where they ship it out, You are talking months without a mower. What do you do then? Go buy another mower in the mean time. I had a gas push mower for 10 years that I never changed the oil or air filter. Never one issue ever. Ran as good as the day I bought it. Really like the quiet electric cut but if I could go back I would go gas self propel without a thought.
