Now they've done it...
New wording for Metro unlock policy:

https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy

"Unlock eligibility requirements
We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:

The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."

Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...

Your account number is your google voice phone number. The pin is the one you set up in Google voice to check voice messages.

I don't understand why would there be a 3% fee on PayPal. Usually when someone sends me a PayPal payment, I can directly retrieve it to my bank account. I don't have to pay anything.
When someone sent you money as a Friend/Family Member, and used their Paypal balance or a bank account (not a credit card), you don't have to pay any fee. When the money was sent as "Payment for goods or services", Paypal charges you a fee, around 3%.

I ordered friday March 1st, Metro shows it was shipped, and it was supposed to be delivered today, UPS app shows package ready for UPS, label has been created
Below is what my tracking shows. The Picked-Up time and Label Created time are kind of wacky. But UPS has my package.

Makes sense. Thanks. So maybe it's better to have them direct deposit to the bank..

I ordered Iphone 12 and will be receiving it today , will activate and make some calls to make sure that phone is registered on the network

Yes same.
And calling customer care number wont be of any help because they wont help with porting( I tried in fact), the only option is to go to the stores, and almost all stores charge at least double and are also arrogant.
Got the ip 12 online from cricket wireless.

Is the main reason that people like the Metro deal better than the $99 at Cricket is that for Metro you don't have to keep the service active for 6 months to unlock?

Yes that could be the main reason.
In my case upgrading a family member ip11 to 12. So cricket deal works for me.
