New wording for Metro unlock policy:
https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy
"Unlock eligibility requirements
We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:
The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."
Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...

But in general Metro's systems are absolutely trash.
1. Do you see two different billing cycles for the 2 lines in the account, or they use the same billing cycle? If same cycle, does it have the billing end date of the 1st line or of the 2nd line?
2. Since the two phones have different phone numbers, do you still log into the account with the phone number of the 1st line?
3. When Metro texts the 6-digit security code, does it go to the 1st phone or the 2nd phone?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

1) Billing cycle is always the same. It defaults to the end date of the 1st line. Meaning your 2nd order's billing cycle would be truncated to match the 1st (do not get the full 30 days for the 2nd order).
2) You can login to the account with either phone number. If you click on the My account, system shows both the phone numbers, with the payment due date 30 days after the date of the 1st order activation.
3) The activation code would go to whichever phone you used to login. You can use either phone number to login as the PIN code is the same for the account. The verification OTP would go to the phone you logged in with.

1. I see the same due date BUT the total is not $40 BUT $46 and change. I believe they prorate the 2nd line to the due date of the 1st and then will use the $40 of the 2nd line you paid up during purchase until the next billing due date which will make it then $80 for the next payment. I am almost sure of this.
2. I have logged in with the first line phone and see both lines listed.
3. The txt code is going to go to the phone # you tell them you are calling about. Not 100% on this because I always called from the first (original) line, but since it is use to authenticate you as the legal owner (to eliminate someone who may have hacked your account I suppose). SO THEREFORE, that is hy I also asked the question just before yours, to see if there is any more stuff to worry about from happening....or SURPRISES!!!

If you order lines from the same account, they will be listed under that account (no matter which device you choose to login to). I am happy not to deal with Metro, and earlier they finish my billing cycle, better it is.
Not sure if this is a second layer of preventing people from ordering more than two devices from the same account. But I'm suspending my attempts
For those who're trying to use the same GV number after a failed order, you should check your GV settings and see if you only see the Delete button. If so, don't try that number. Once GV receives a transfer request from the new carrier, the "Lock" button will disappear and you can't have more than one transfer request on the same number simultaneously.

You should receive email with one click link to activate the line...after 180 days of activation you will be eligible to get it unlocked...

And what was the cost of the plan if you don't mind me asking. Was it $40 each time?
