Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.

to setup the voicemail pin have go to settings and enable Call to listen Check and manage your voicemails by calling your Google Voice number.

Read wiki, Metro will activate your phone on day 21, no matter your phone or SIM card is trashed , drowned, even sealed in the box...you don't need to put the SIM to activate your phone....it is automation process...
Trying to port a number and keep getting:"We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please retry or reach out to metro support."
Only few cases for postpaid military T-Mobile account or some workaround to make the phone work with T-Mobile SIM..

If you're porting from Google Voice and having issues then the direct line to Metro's porting department is 800-518-7519
Just make sure you call from a different phone number (not the one you ported to Metro) as customer service asks you to shut down and restart the phone while they're manually porting in the background.
For those trying to do a second order to get the lower monthly service fee, you have to login to your original account on Metro's website and follow the prompt in your account to open a new line. If you visit the phone listing directly, then you'll get a message that you are unable to buy another phone.
