Now they've done it...
New wording for Metro unlock policy:

https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy

"Unlock eligibility requirements
We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:

The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."

Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...

Your account number is your google voice phone number. The pin is the one you set up in Google voice to check voice messages.

Does anyone own both the Moto Stylus 2023 and Samsung A54 from them? I charged both to full and left them on for about 2 days with WiFi on and bluetooth off. The Moto was down to 94% battery life but the Samsung was 88%. I see that the Moto has 22.7 days standby time and the Samsung 12.9 days, but both have same size battery 5000 mAh. Is this typical of both phones? I'm thinking of exchanging the Samsung but not sure if that would extend the unlocking process or how well Metro processes returns.
I have both devices, A54 battery life beat Stylus 2023, double down.. check if you have any sucker apps running on background. FYI my comparison on based off A13 ONLY.. not sure A14 ..is your A54 running on android 14?

Successful second GV Port done this morning with an iPhone 12. I tried porting with the first phone number using my zip code and also with the 94043 zip code, both ports required calling into Metro porting support. The second port took about 20 minutes, roughly the same as the first port.

One thing is that I believe the porting support line doesn't open until 9AM (Eastern Time). I got an automated response at 8:50AM that they weren't open for business the first time I called. I can't say if they just don't accept calls from Eastern Time callers until 9AM or all callers regardless of time zone at 9AM (Eastern Time).

Also, you should call porting support with a different phone altogether as they will make you power cycle the phone and you'll also need a different phone to validate calls/texts are routing to your phone number properly now.

don't forget to download the T Life app. Even you just keep it for a month, you are qualified for the MLB.TV offer:

I called from the phone that had the porting issue. They did ask me to reboot the phone to test it which I did once we hung up and the port went thru. It is best to call from a different phone tho just to be able to test it while still on the line with them.

I updated it to the lastest Android 14 and removed a few apps from it too. Not sure how to check what apps are using how much battery. I'm supprised that it's draining battery faster than the Moto when the screen is off but phone is on but it has less standby days per specs so maybe that's normal?

If anyone has the A54 and can test out how much it drains battery per day when leaving on w/ WiFi on and bluetooth off, I would appreciate that.

giving up the Samsung A54 for the Stylus is a big step backwards. A54 has fast charging with a 25W plug.

I think the issue is each gv number needs a forwarding number that is a real number. Maybe there is a way around this but I used 3 other real cell phone numbers among family members for each gv forwarding number for the 3 phones. Perhaps it's possible to use the first gv number as forwarding for 2nd gv number but I didn't try that.

Exactly. I have only one forwarding number which is linked to one google voice number. Now when I try to get another google voice number, I need a new forwarding number(which I don't have). Google voice doesn't let you reuse the same forwarding number for multiple accounts.
