If by "good" oil, you mean the proper viscosity with the correct certifications, then yes you're correct. Otherwise, please don't advise people about things you do not understand. You're essentially that guy answering questions on Amazon product pages with "I don't know" - the most ignorant, rage-inducing waste of words known to the internet.

To answer the original question, the correct answer is:

"Unanswerable - Need more information." Nobody knows because we'd need additional vehicle information than a make and model. The X1 has been made since 2009. Specs change yearly. Sometimes more often. Sometimes even post-manufacture (ask Ford, they'd know).

Half-assed questions earn half-assed answers.

Thumb me down all you want, it doesn't change the fact that I'm correct.

"My car happened to have an issue while I was using this oil so it was definitely the oil's fault. It must be super different and not nearly the exact same as the other brands I listed"

Decent. Less than $4/qt is the only price anywhere near worth posting. These $5 and $6 per qt deals showing up are a joke. $3/qt is the only thing I'd seek to grab for the stash.

I haven't used this oil in years but will give it a try again. I usually use Mobil 1 or Castrol but will never use Pennzoil again due to making my car burn oil that never did prior.
Um, you do know they are sister brands...right? Both are SOPUS products.

Well the local oil change folks still want to charge 80$ for a synth oil change. I wonder when that'll drop back to 50$.. or if they've grown accustomed to making huge margins

You didn't hear what Pennzoil said about his mother though.
Probably put 0W-16 in a diesel that called for 20W-50 and blamed the brand LOL

That part, corporate greed is the cause of half the service inflation at this point...

Are you sure they didn't just start paying their employees halfway reasonable wages, like everyone else has had to? Of course we all want $20 (sign in front of the numerals) oil changes, but there's no way that covers labor, materials, and all the overhead associated with keeping a shop open specifically for oil changes anymore.

There are only five oil producers who sell under multiple brands. Walmart sells their brand name oil for a dollar less for full synthetic so not sure why this is a deal unless they're paying Slickdeals for this...
