I got one of these from a similar deal last year, vibration just started going bad after 13 months of use. Going back to Oral B.

I have asked 7 dentists. Out of the 7 different dentists (2 of whom were award winning) they all said everyone should use an electric tooth brush. Hands down better oral hygiene than manual tooth brushes.

Not sure how you get to $25.50. Listed price is $50 - $10 coupon = $40. apply 15% off gets you $34 + tax. That's what I'm seeing.
$39.99 - $10 - $4.50 + tax (list price is $40 and NOT $50)

Speak of the devil, I was cleaning my sonicare just an hour ago and couldn't remove all the mold. Even with a 1 hr baking soda, vinegar soak, the black mold was still fused to the rubber/plastic. I decided to toss it and look here to see if there was a sale. I'm going to now start cleaning my sonicare daily.
I often use hydrogen peroxide to break down the buildup. It fizzes and breaks it down and helps keep it clean.

do you still have it? They have a 2 year warranty that's pretty easy to do online for that. I ended up having to do it for mine at about 17 months, and my wife's at 22 months. Took maybe 5 minutes online for them to replace and 3 days for it to arrive. Weirdly on hers they sent me a 5100 instead. Free upgrade!

Nice deal.
I bought mine back in July for $30 from Philips and I've been really happy with it.
I tried using a sonicare toothbrush 15 years ago and I hated it and went back to a manual brush after a few weeks but with the new one I got used to it in less than a week.
The 4100 has a lot of nice features for the money (2 vibration speeds, pressure sensor to let you know when you're brushing too hard, 30 second timer for each quadrant of your mouth, etc. ) and the low setting feels gentle enough to not bother my somewhat sensitive teeth and gums.
Battery life is excellent, I usually charge it once a week or so but I've gone over 2 weeks and haven't even seen the low battery light come on.
If you're thinking of trying an electric toothbrush I'd definitely recommend this one.
The more expensive ones may last longer and have more features but I don't think it's worth the investment.
For under $30 you get a toothbrush that will last at least 2-3 years or more vs a $100+ toothbrush that might last 10 or so years.
About a month ago Best Buy had a limited time deal on the Philips Sonicare 5100 model for $50. It came with a regular charger cable that doesn't require a USB port unlike other versions of the same model. The only real added benefit with the 5100 is you get 3 choices of modes and an G2 Optimal Gum Care brush head. It is definitely nicer looking than my older Sonicare electric toothbrush.

On Walgreens' site, WELCOME25 took $7.50 off plus $10 off manufacturer's coupon = $22.49 plus tax. I'm not a new customer but WELCOME25 worked all the way through checkout and order confirmation.

It's because you haven't used that coupon before. It's linked to your account.

I bought two of these last time it was on sale. They failed within the year. Had a weird vibration issue. Would not recommend. Spend the extra to get something better.

I don't recommend this. It lacks essential cleaning power, also the head keeps beeping and replace every few month

These electric toothbrushes are bad for your teeth. Ask any dentist!
Both my hygienist and dentist ask if I'm using an electric toothbrush every time I'm in there. No need to ask -- they tell me to use one.

And anything is bad for your teeth if you don't use it properly. It's actually quite easy to brush too hard with a manual toothbrush.

It sounds like you're talking about a widely known issue that plagues various Sonicare models. After a while, usually right out of warranty, a screw that's inside of the unit becomes loose, causing the toothbrush to not work as well and/or have vibration issues. In order to fix it, you have to pry it open from the bottom, which can be tricky. But once you do get it open, it's a relatively easy fix of just tightening the screw.

The terrible thing is that this issue has been known for many year across different models, but Philips willfully chooses not to fix it. Instead, it seems like they're willing to roll the dice that it happens outside of warranty and that will make you buy a new toothbrush instead.

if you remove top after each usage and leave it separate, it doesn't require much cleaning.

They don't last 10 years... Most have battery issues between 2-3 years
My household had multiple Sonicare for past 2 decades. They easily last 10 years.
I haven't seen any fail yet. We ended up replacing because Philips changed the brush-head design, and it was getting more expensive to get the old brush head type.

I don't know what people are doing to their toothbrushes to make them fail. Are they using them to clean the whole house?
