When they have several days of battery life, I'll be interested. I just talked to someone who has a 5 and she said battery is ok if you don't use the watch. Once she uses it to track exercise, it drops to less than a day.

I get on average 72 hrs or so before I go completely dead on my 5 pro titanium without lte.

I had the non-pro version before this one and it failed after a short while. Samsung kept "repairing" it, but it failed immediately. Finally they just gave me a full refund (actually more than I paid). I bought this one and I've been nervous, but so far not a single issue.

I was going to upgrade but im confused with all the battery life comments, can someone provide me with some insight

Currently have a Samsung watch original version. After 3-4 years my battery life last 2-3 days based on my workouts (5-10k runs every other day), I always have always on mode with second hand on. When I bought it, it lasted 5-7 days.

Are people just exegerating or are they actually getting less than a day on the new models?

This was my first smart watch. It's ok, but when they brought back the bezel for the 6 I traded it in immediately. The bezel makes the watch so much better.

To anyone concerned about battery life, the pro BT is the way to go if you don't need LTE. My experience is solely with the gps/bt model. I can get nearly a full 4 days on my best runs, but usually putting on a charger on day 3 of my week to top off. The only thing I have disabled is AOD, and have managed my notifications to be what I consider necessary to me. One thing I have to watch out for is the random Google assistant activations that run in the background, that will kill the battery really fast. I haven't had that happen on my 5p or my 6c in a while. The other thing to consider is watch faces. I played around with a few different one and tested which killed my battery the slowest. You'd be surprised how some faces will straight up drain 50% faster than others. If you think this battery life is bad, apple watch users can barely get a full 24hrs. I keep a charger in my bag and if I forget to charge on day 3 I usually get a 30min window to charge while on lunch at work and that will carry me for a full extra day if I had to go that long. The w5p easily kills the 4c in battery life. the biggest loss is that rotating bezel.

I regret trading my light titanium pro 5 for the heavy stainless classic 6. Hope they make a pro 6 soon... :/ My daily driver is a garmin enduro 2 tho.
