It has dropped to that at some point. If you just keep looking on slickdeals, eventually the deal will pop up again. Be patient and you can get i at $350..

They aren't getting cost savings with die shrinks this generation. In fact I think some things like blu ray drives cost more than 2020.

The PS5 is a great console, the real downside here is the MW3 game. MW3 has been a huge disappointment. This is the last game with the Sony deal, and so after this no early access for Playstation, no exclusive bundles etc. But as a whole, MW3 has been trash and many actual players are leaving it, and it's polluted with cheating. Of course your high profile streamers are gonna gag on it, but even they admit that cheating is getting out of hand.

Woot has refurbs with a warranty popping up at 299-309 twice now in the past two weeks.

Bad reporting. I just looked it up. The regular price of the xbox Series X is still $499. A couple of stores have it on sale for $449 right now. There was an extended holiday sale (like late Nov. thru much of Jan.) off and on where 2-3 major retailers had the xbox on sale for $349. For one week around Xmas BB had it for $339. For the past 5-6 weeks the price has been mostly $400 to $500, and we are in the 4th year of the console. Sale prices like we are seeing on xbox and now the playstation are expected in the 4th year of a console. I ask these Sony fans, link me one article where Microsoft has announced a permanent price decrease below $499 or even $449. And who cares about the Woot sale, those were not new units, just typical Woot refurb stuff.

There's no wow factor anymore and we got used to it. All games look the same, only sequels or rip offs, just like Hollywood. laugh out loud

Also, the talk about this exiting the market or that losing tons... that's just wall street analysts talk, nobody should pay any attention to those clowns.

lol. Sony recently announced it was disappointed it was going to fall well short of last year's forecast for the annual total of consoles sold. Shortly after that, Sony announced layoffs at various software development locations and announced its profit margins on the sale of in-house developed video games had reached an unacceptably low level. Thus, the recent "doom and gloom" shouting by various people.

Looking to expand my gaming setup with a second PS5 for my PSVR in another room. The PSVR's cable clutter was a hassle, so I upgraded to PSVR2 in the main living room. Still have a ton of backlog on psvr I like to revisit at some point. Contemplating waiting for the PS5 Pro. Also, recently played MW3 - campaign felt rushed, but 'Danger Close' level was a standout. Hoping for a better experience with online play.

The cheating is really the biggest problem this go round with mwII and mwiii. It's out of control. It makes for a pretty frustrating experience for a casual cod player.

Compatibility issues for the most part from my understanding. There were more games that couldn't be played previously but there were updates released later from the developers that made it playable on PS5 (DWVR is a good example).
