No hdmi is a deal breaker for me personally. I have two Dell Ultrasharp monitors connected via USB-C now and apparently you cannot have three of them as though I have two more DP capable ports they will not work unless I unplug one of my two existing screens.

So currently monitors 3 and 4 are iPads connected via USB and I need a small fifth portable screen for the bottom middle connected by HDMI and I'll be all set. Much cheaper than a third IPad though that would technically work I suppose.

I have an old USB-A Asus model and have been waiting for a deal to upgrade to USB-C model.

I just use these for quick connection to NUCs, mobile devices, or as a secondary laptop display while traveling for work. This should be perfect, thanks OP!

Thanks for the link! Came in to say I'm really happy with my $70 off brand from a similar deal, but $55 is even slicker. I understand why some would prefer a known brand, but for the price/specs, I'd rather save a few bucks, let alone 40.

Are there any monitors that can cast from a phone. I prefer a wireless connection.

Currently use a 24 inch with a chromecast and use my phone with it, but its not portable.

Tried one of these 15" 1080 touch and I hated it. It was fuzzy and thick. I ended up going to a 14" 1440p monitor that is much thinner and lighter and easy to fit in the backpack

I didn't go for 4k cuz that would be too small of a font and often need to go to a 15"-16" to get 4k resolution which too big as a daily carry

I carry my 14" screen with me daily so weight and thinness are important.

HDMI , DP, and USBC, are all digital connections and basically interchangable. You can just buy a DP to USBC or HDMI to USBC cable...

you also may confusing your GPU/computer limit with port limits.

all im getting at is that "no HDMI" means absolutely nothing in your situation and probably 99% of other situations.

"no HDMI" can be solved with a cable...

I got this one

it is super thin. The 15.6" touch screen I had was as thick as my MacBook Pro 16!!! Way too much to fit both into the bag where this 14" can tuck in front of the laptop no problem.

Sure they are all digital connections but no, they are not interchangable, not in the least. If they were interchangable they wouldn't require additional hardware to do the conversion. They each have their own standards and protocols. Sure you can buy adapters but there is no guarantee that they'll work. Not to mention when using adapters you'll no longer have HDR, Freesync etc.
