Was at Costco yesterday and saw this priced at $19.99. Took a pic of it and came to checkout and asked clerk to price check to make sure the price was not a mistake and was delighted at the price. Bought one. Will post pic of the price if I can. (can't see option in app right now)
(apologies. The pic of price is blurry but it tells you the model # and price and I wasn't hallucinating!)

I'm still using the original OOMA (no monthly fees) and link my cell phone to one of these. I have the remotes sprinkled around the house so I don't need to have my phone on my person while I'm at home. I actually have 2 sets of these and link my wife's phone to the other along with a google voice number.

How do you get service to Google voice (via WiFi?)? How does it ring the Panasonic? I am interested. Thanks

The phone needs bluetooth pairing to answer and make calls with a wifi or cell device. Wifi can get you the ability to pass through google voice on blutooth. This is the hack for not being able to buy a dedicated google voice voip box.

Can this work as an intercom between rooms/floors?

While we're kinda on the subject... anyone wanna recommend a softphone that works with Andriod, iOS and ideally Windows and MacOS?

I have a # from http://voip.ms but ran into snags trying to find a softphone that worked (as least on android). I'm not interested in Google / Google Voice so that's not going to be a helpful suggestion.

I was looking in that cell phone connection feature. So if I understand correctly you connect your cellphone to these phone and you can answer and make calls with this device but using your cell phone to place the call?
Yes. It works.
Via BT you connect to the base. All the extension phones work after that.

I bought one set of these since I moved in the new house in 2005, the set is still working fine💪, excepted few batteries went bad that I had to replaced👍. My local Costco's price is still $90 🫡!

Yeah that's another subscription. At $5 a month, I might as well get the cheapest prepaid mobile service and live with a cell phone at home.

Exactly. I've got several "junk" Androids all over my house for the same purpose. Google Voice on each, and they all ring. I'm not paying another subscription.

Been running obi and GV for years. One thing to consider is full duplex for the speaker phone. My current Panasonic cordless has it but previous one didn't. Not sure if this one has full duplex or not.

For anyone wondering what this would be used for. Considering I know many people who STILL have the same phone line and number since the 80s… and paying 20-50$ a line for these things.

Really need to consider some kind of a VOIP service and port their number over. I personally like magic jack for simplicity and reliability. You get one of these base stations with the multiple phones and instead of plugging a line into the house phone jack in the walls, you have these wireless phone stations where you need them.

Long as you have good internet and networking the VOIP should work great and instead of it costing 30$ a month it's 30$ a year and you can keep that old phone line
