I had to install their driver software for this to work natively on Windows 11. Not a huge fan of needing to use some 3rd party chinese driver software (that has to stay installed and running) just to use a USB wifi card.
A lot of USB wifi devices can easily use the generic realtek or broadcom drivers included with windows. I don't like the security implications of having to trust a third party software that's always running and could easily harvest info from your machine without you knowing. This is especially true for a brand that either manufactures or uses white label parts for all manner of electronics from wifi cards to battery packs. I would be less apprehensive if this software requirement was the case for something from Netgear or Ubiquiti because they have a brand reputation to lose for bundling nefarious software.
For me I want a stick I can put in a Linux or Win machine for almost instant connection for diagnosis, if I am using one there is a really good chance I won't be able to download anything. I have a different one I use sparingly for my TV and when I need it for testing it is nothing to plug and play in a machine without internet. No need to get a driver from the internet that I don't seem to have or find a jump drive, and boot a 2nd machine with the driver, find the driver, transfer the driver, install the driver.

I pay for plug and play.

Sorry Mac user. Not for us.
I am going to get this one at almost the same price but 12K plus above 4 star rating. Ok a bit slower but works with old macs too.

Looks like both the eBay one and the Amazon are Realtek 8812BU. Searching the word linux on Amazon comes up with a Ugreen answer to a Q about Linux Lite 32 bit that kernel 2.6.24-5.11 is compatible. A review by Hadar Pedhazur in the United States on November 12, 2022 got it to work with Arch Linux.

Huh, TIL that compact flash is still in use outside of 20 year old SLR cameras that grandma insists still works fine. Who knew?

You're inserting a Chinese manufacturer's device into your box (that has to stay plugged in to function), and you're worried about the 3rd party driver? Sorry, hard not to 😂 at that!
The driver can do a whole lot worse than the hardware alone can. The hardware can do all kinds of stuff to physically mess up your PC and possibly phone home to send tracking data, but it can't get at most of your data without a compromised driver. There's not a lot of money in making the magic smoke come out of your USB controller.

It just worked for me. It took $4.95 off.
My prime is ending this week. The code doesn't work. I bought it before and returned it a few months ago. So they remember and don't give me the discount

The price is not that great for an unknown manufacturer.
Not really need it too.
Pass.

I don't believe you have to use their driver, it is generic RTL8822BU, the driver they provide 3.00.0027 (?) is supposedly made (signed) by Karl Hsu, Realtek guy. You can sure get it somewhere else in newer version, including Realtek website if your Windows doesn't include it. Realtek is Taiwan based, China or not, I wouldn't worry too much about the driver. Realtek lists RTL8821AE package for download, which covers RTL8822BE, just get that one. If it doesn't work - just return the card

Note, as far as I can tell (I just bought an Archer USB wifi and wasted a couple hours trying to get it to work), there are no USB wifi dongles that work with Mac M1/M2/M3 chips. Also the one linked here and most others only work with Mac OS up to 10.15 (with Intel silicon), so no Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, or Sonoma using OEM drivers. You can get some of them to work with a special third party patch (github repo https://github.com/chris1111/Wire...-Adapter), but it's far from an optimal solution.
