i have it on my 2020 Lexus UX250h and my 2022 RX450H
it takes driving to level 2 autonomous driving.
it will keep you in lane without having hands on the wheel.
it will keep you in lane when you are braking
it will keep you in lane during stop and go traffic.
it will do stop and go traffic. you can have both hands on a big mac in traffic and the car will start and stop.
FYI i bought mine when it was $2500 plus 200 for the cable. $1050 right now is cheap AF.
There are clones out there but i read constantly of failures. mine has worked flawlessly.
I run sunny pilot fork.
You dont need to drive a lot to need this or appreciate this device. its one of those things, once you have it and use it you'll never want to go back LOL.

That said, recent updates have made Autopilot much less useful for me. It watches your face like a hawk and dings you for looking away from the road even for 1-2 seconds. Disables autopilot for a period of time after a few dings. Also nags you constantly to apply pressure to the wheel. It's gotten so annoying that I find myself rarely using it anymore. I've driven Teslas for several years now and unfortunately Autopilot has gone from being a novelty to a tool, and now back to a novelty.
Comma on the other hand is much less capable than Autopilot, but it does what it's supposed to do every time with no muss or fuss. Keeps the car in its lane and maintains distance from other cars, turns on and off at the push of a button, no nags unless I look away for more than a few seconds, and no requirement to keep hands on the wheel. Even changes lanes much more easily than standard autopilot. I use it all the time and would take it over autopilot (in its current form) any day.
TIA

All the cars that openpilot supports use a CAN bus for communication between all the car's computers, however a CAN bus isn't the only way that the computers in your car can communicate. Most, if not all, vehicles from the following manufacturers use FlexRay instead of a CAN bus: BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Land Rover, and some Volvo. These cars may one day be supported, but we have no immediate plans to support FlexRay.

It is however a good price for a great product that's probably better value than Tesla AP. Would say you should fit the hacker persona to some degree if you plan on purchasing this.

'Of the systems IIHS tested, only one earned an acceptable rating: The Lexus Teammate with Advanced Drive, offered last year on [] Lexus LS hybrid sedans.'
'GM's Super Cruise and Nissan's "ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link" [] received "marginal" overall ratings.'
and every other one was "poor" overall, "Autopilot" and "Full Self Driving" included.
My Volt used to run Kegman on C2, then Twilsonco's fork on a C3 before running SunnyPilot.
My Lexus runs Sunnypilot on the C3
TLDR: I F*CKING love it
