Just updated the post. This was in Elmsford, NY. Apoplogies as I missed that info.
Do try price matching in-store in your local Sams by showing the pic or mentioning the store. Sams store does acknowledge it (based on manager's discretion)

Sam's Club is committed to providing the absolute lowest prices. Each club has the option to match another club's pricing but clearance or markdown items won't be matched.

Don't have a Sam's near me, but just chiming in here.
The issue with the speaker turning into a brick after a year (i.e. beyond the warranty period) is real enough that there are lots of reports of it, and it has happened to me. Sonos support will not replace or repair the speaker, but will rather offer a 30% coupon to buy another Sonos product.
There are Youtube videos where people are able to open it up and swap out the battery with one they've purchased from Amazon, as that seems to be the main source of the issue.
For $59, I'd probably be willing to take the risk, but it depends a lot on how willing you are to fix it yourself, or if you feel like the price is low enough to accept having the speaker for not much more than a year.
Just don't expect sympathy if yours stops working.
Sure it's the policy, but I have returned stuff a year after purchase without any questions.
Without any proof in writing, I have no case with this store manager so as a result I buy mainly consumables from Sam's Club.

I bought the Sonos Roam during Christmas ; I would give it 10 Stars. The speaker has alot of technology built into it ; it not a typical dumb bluetooth speaker. It can even wireless charge with any Qi charger. I use the Roam all the time ; it's a great grab and go speaker. Once you get it setup ; you don't need to use the Sonos App but it's there to do things like pairing with other speakers and adjusting the equalizer. It also can turn into an Alexa speaker and a Google Assist speaker. "Alexa, play Party songs". My favorite part about the speaker is the Wireless charging (currently docked). It's always charged and Ready to Go.
