Note that the 64GB version only offers 4GB of RAM. The 128GB version (also on sale, for $230) bumps the RAM up to 8GB. Not sure if it's worth the $50 additional, since the storage can be expanded with a MicroSD card. Would like to hear from anyone that's compared the performance of these.

I was just debating if it was worth the extra to upgrade the storage and ram and has slightly better performance on the 128GB model. One thing to note is that the Micro SD card cannot hold any games or larger apps so you will have to rely on the internal storage only. IMO it does seem the $50 would be a good investment if you are planning to game on it. For all other casual users I think the 64GB should be good enough.

I don't know if this matters to anyone looking at this tablet, but I'm pretty sure the A series can't use Samsung DEX. Might not be a deal breaker, but it's a nice feature of the higher end tablets. I have an A8+ and an S7+ and they are both wonderful for the price, I imagine the a9+ is the same.
You can use DeX with this tablet, but you can only use it on the device itself. It will not display DeX on an external screen.

Mywhoosh, sorry. You would also need to create a profile, then go for a bike ride, then select a user on the right to follow. Then let it run. My tablet crashed instantly but others crash after a few hours.

So I do appropriate you for looking into it, it is way too much work. Thank you.
Well, you peaked my interest, so I went ahead and installed the app, downloaded the environments, signed up for an account, and started a ride (without a bluetooth device) and I'm watching other people on their rides successfully. This is kind of neat and now I'm interested to get whatever device I need to actually try this out lol!

I have an Schwinn IC4 bike, it does not change the resistance automatically, BUT I think this can work with some minor parts, but I have not looked into it. I started with zwift which works on the slow Lenovo tablet but the free trial ended in 7 days. I need go look into mywhoosh. Full disclosure last night I ended up pulling my 2nd gen Chromecast out of storage. Plugged into TV, used my Samsung s23 to cast to the TV. It has weird issues with sound where my phone's music plays local during the ride but on the TV the menus. I need to keep going, because if I stop I probably won't start back. Since your already into it what are your settings for video? Gear>graphics >

The Samsung s23 is ultra, high, high.

edit to be clear there are better bikes and ways of using Mywhoosh this is what I happen to have.

I just checked and the app chose High, Medium, Medium for the Graphics. I did not play around with them, and I'm not familiar with the app running on my phone to know if it was running well in comparison to a phone. I thought it was running well, but I did switch to someone else at one point and it took a second or two to load the graphics.

That seems like quite a limitation for DeX.

Bought the 128gb 8gb version. Curious to see how it performs.

I just bought two 8gb 128gb A9+ tablets from Newegg for a good deal. They are out of stock now. These are the best tablets I have ever owned. I will never go below 8gb ram ever. Those 4gb and less tablets always are s l o w...

This is wrong info, some apps can be moved but most can't by default.
HOWEVER, you can still move all apps, google just hide it under the "Developer Options".

To enable "Developer Options" go to "About Tablet" > "Software Information" and tapping "Build number" a number of times and it'll tell you when you unlocked it.

It should be at the bottom of "Developer Options" or you can just search for it "Force allow apps on external".

Take notice its normal that the base app can be moved and not the data it downloads afterwards.
Example: Genshin Impact app is under 1gb but even though you moved the app, the 30gb data it downloads when you launch it will remain on the main storage but you can still save a lot of gb by moving big apps such as Diablo Immortal's app which is 3gb is still a big chunk of the total 16gb.

It does have DEX but it doesn't output to an external monitor.

I have the A9+ 128GB version with the 8GB RAM, and it's runs well! I also just received the update to Android 14 yesterday! I can't say I've compared the performance between the 4GB and 8GB RAM versions, but I have mostly great things to say about the 8GB version. It does exactly what I wanted it for and wanted the 8GB version just to future proof it a little bit and for the upgraded processor.
Thanks for the information. I just checked mine for an update and A14 is installing now
