"Note that the 64GB version only offers 4GB of RAM. The 128GB version (also on sale, for $230) bumps the RAM up to 8GB. Not sure if it's worth the $50 additional, since the storage can be expanded with a MicroSD card. Would like to hear from anyone that's compared the performance of these."
the 128 GB is $219.99 instead of $269

Go with the 8GB with updated RAM; only $219.99. Best new budget tablet in the market right now.

How is the performance and UI of these tablets? I'm an android use - tried to go cheap with a fire tablet and am pulling my hair at how slow it is compared to a 2016 iPad. Had my eyes set on an M1 iPad but always hate spending money on an overpriced apple. I just need something that works smoothly and can be supported for 7-8 years

yea I have a 2021 Kindle - it's fast enough but the lack of google apps is what annoys me.

The performance is okay. I returned mine because the screen while it has a good refresh rate, is TFT and has very poor viewing angles, in my opinion. I need an IPS screen. I guess.
After returning the tablet, I decided to just replace the battery on my old Windows tablet. It's good until Windows 10 sunsets sometime in 2025 (or possibly later, if the transition is anything like that of Windows 7 to Windows 8).
Can you elaborate the double touch problem? I use it every night and I have not encountered any touch problem
This thing has known issues with gaming and two finger touch. No statements from Samsung as to if and when it will be fixed but there are complaints online dating back 2 months already.
Bought as a gift for my daughter after her kindle started smoking while charging. Debated between this and an iPad. I prefer android but she can't play roblox because of the two finger touch issues it caused camera issues. It happen in other games as well and is very similar to stick drift. I'm about ready to just return it now and buy a fire tablet again. Do not buy.

Isn't this the one that has the double touch problem?
I got the 8g ram version for $220. Except for the lack of fingerprint login feature, it is working fine for me.
