I am tempted, I got the multitool with edger with the intent on one day getting the hedge trimming attachment but I have heard bad things in terms of weight.
I might just get rid of the multitool altogether.

If I'm not mistaken, HT2600 is bare tool only. HT2601 comes with battery and charger. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I got the kit with battery and charger last year from Lowe's, and I love it.
