I went through this with my Genesis grill and had to buy one on eBay.
Or someone that wants an awesome steak cooked on a heavy cast iron grate.

I bought a Spirit a few years ago after my 25 year old Weber finally bit the dust. The guy who delivered it and put it together told me he does 2-3 of these Webers every day and it still took him an hour plus even though he could do it blindfolded. A diy-er should anticipate at least 2 but maybe 4 hours. My guy did a great job - the unit is still like new and I use it all the time.
Ya 20 pound propane cylinder
I picked one up (Los Angeles County), mainly because of the free assembly. Hoping this one lasts me more than 6.

That's the issue though. They charge a 300 percent premium for something that might be 20 percent better than the worst grill out there.
The old Webers didn't need to be babied and the new ones shouldn't either. The product should be commensurate with the price, and it isn't the case with any of the new Weber products.
The middle insert also fits a lodge 12 inch CI skillet nicely
Stainless steel is not as good as the enameled cast iron grates that come with this.

It is 499 at my Costco in wherehouse
Some costcos. This is a key point. The ones in my area only have the spirit version, which is cheaper, but doesn't include shipping and assembly.

My Genesis II is on year 10. I bragged how it still looked brand new and how glad I purchased it
. But then all of a sudden the bottom sheet metal that is basically the structure, disintegrated in one season. It's going to collapse any day now. To replace Weber wants $160 for just a peice of sheetmetal. Not happy.
