+1 for humidity in August though.

Yeah really. I don't get the complaint about no meals and baggage or water. they're worth a few bucks when the savings on the flight ticket is in the hundreds and it's really simple to just buy food and a water bottle or drink on one of the airport convenience stores to bring with you on the flight. I don't need to pick out my seat and a check in bag is around $55 (I pay for two on the way back because of goodies I bring back with me).
Just a warning regarding food. I bought a salad and I did not eat it in my flight (I took United as they had the $675 deal with food/baggage/seats etc.). I was flagged at the airport in Japan for bringing meat (it was a chicken salad) into the country. This probably will happen with a sandwhich so make sure not to bring any kind of a meal with meat on it. I thought those warnings pertained to things like canned food.

What do you mean you got flagged? During the custom checkin you suppose to throw away the food at the security custom check in. I think it always been the case for other countries as well.
