This has the equivalent of one extra battery cell inside of it over 86wh 737 model that goes on sale for $90 every month. $35 extra for one more cell isn't worth it, but what is worth it if you need it, is 250w combined output from all 3 ports compared to 140w on previous model, and a whopping 170w recharge rate by utilizing both usb-c ports!!! They claim It only takes 37 minutes to recharge. That seems pretty insane to me. It also has bluetooth app support and supports find my features. It looks to me like you mostly over pay for this one for features and better electronics and not so much bigger capacity than anker 737 that was just on sale.

I think it's a good deal for a feature rich and powerful power bank. If I didn't already order 737, I would jump on this.

Here's a review I found interesting from someone who owns both, they also posted pics comparing two side by side, this one is a tiny bit bigger than 737:

No, the TSA maximum is 100 watt-hours. This product is very intentionally below that limit with a capacity of 99.54 Wh. Talking about batteries in terms of amperage isn't very precise since the nominal voltage can technically be different. Capacity (i.e., watt-hours) = amperage * voltage * time.

You just thought and didn't do any research? It's right in the product description Blink

Please know that this power bank is 99.54Wh, which meets the requirements of the TSA(<100Wh) to be taken on airplanes as carry-on baggage.

I wanted this model but I don't think you can bring it on an Airline. I think the max for a carry-on is 27,000 and this is just slightly above it.
Incorrect. You CAN bring it on the airline. Capacity doesn't matter, it's the output which was 0.01 short.

I had the 737, the capacity just wasn't enough for such an expensive battery. This fixes that issue, I'm still using the 26,800 mAh Anker PowerCore on a USB-A though. Takes forever to charge but it's fine for what I need it for, I just charge it overnight and it lasts an entire day. I just realized it's 6 years old and still going strong. My previous ravpower crapped the bed after just a year of usage.

How many times did TSA ask you about the capacity of the battery or take it out of your bag going through security? Just saying 🙃
It's not the capacity that matters. You can have 50k mah it's the output.

100 watt hours (Wh) is max. this battery is 99 Wh

mAh is a measure of capacity for these powerbanks.

According to the datasheet,
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1...1690286444 [shopify.com]

This powebank has (3,950mAh × 7) meaning there are 7 batteries inside with a capacity of 3950mAh. This means the batteries are likely 3.7V which means 27650 mAh x 3.7V = 102.305Wh
Anker uses 3.6V as the nominal voltage. 3950 x 3.6 x 7 = 99.54Wh

I am thinking this one? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/anke...6556968

Apparently, it was only available to paid vs free Best Buy members.
Still he didn't feel inclined to share the SlickDeal, did he?

Where did you find it? I couldn't find it and had to guess.

It depends on the nominal voltage, like I said. The mAh rating doesn't mean anything in terms of total energy unless you know the corresponding voltage. In your calculation you are assuming 3.7V. Anker is using 3.6V. Neither voltage is "correct", and both are typical choices for the nominal voltage of a lithium cell. The TSA rule is in terms of watt-hours since that is unambiguous.
The important thing is not whether it technically is allowed, but whether they will always allow it. Are the watt-hours prominently printed on it?

It's not help being right when you've got a plane to catch and they say it isn't allowed.

Damn. I bought the 200W/20000mAh version just a little over a month ago, so I can't return it for this! Would've definitely paid for more charge + speed if they had this deal at the time.

I own this and love it. The charging dock (optional additional purchase) port on the bottom is fantastic and ensures it's always charged and ready. Dock also functions as a charging station with several usb-c pd ports. I've used this for phones, my MacBook Pro, my son's MSI gaming laptop and untold other usb devices. My only complaint would be a lack of ruggedness, but I grabbed a cheap carrying case from Amazon for it.

In for 1. I've been looking at this level of power bank for a while with the ability to charge my laptop at it's max input of 65w. I also had a requirement for airline travel, and it's just under the max for unrestricted travel.

Charging and battery improvements over time is exciting. I'm happy with the 737 for now but I'm glad anker is pushing out new iterations like this.

Have had many issues with long term ownership of Anker products with larger capacity lithium batteries. Especially the lithium ion jump starters.
