Not bad still at $180. But I got this CPU 3 weeks ago when Newegg had it on sale for $174 and included a free AOC headset (which works surprisingly well btw, I'm using it for Zoom meetings at work)

Hard to keep up with the nuances of cpus these days.

I have a 12400 humming along happily in a basic itx board but at this price itd be fun to swap in the i7. But I'm under the impression cpus' performance varies so much with the power and cooling (even without touching anything in the bios) it might not even give much performance boost.

Board is ASUS PRIME H610I-PLUS D4

It's a daily driver. Light gaming with the old mining RX570. Occasionally encode something. But don't really need more cpu, just like to know it's there lol
