Can you comment on if this would be good for a family with small kids? Debating if I should bite or hold off on a new table so our old one can continue taking a beating. A bit worried their dirtiness might much up the fabric on the seats as well.
From my experience, the fabric is easy to work with. I have a hoover carpet cleaner, and it does the job pretty easily for me for the tough ones, and for minor stains, a wet towel does the trick... but if you expect too much stains etc there are a lot of cheap seat covers on Amazon that match the material color, so you won't see any difference... the table itself gets cleaned and stays shiny with just a wet towel (not the clorox wipes) and is also recommended by the company. Overall, the table is way too heavy but rock solid!! I have a toddler, and I can relate
Overall, it looks nice and very heavy, stable. However, you may need to tighten the chair bolts because I don't think they did a good job. Most of my chairs start wiggling after few months.

What kind of tables do other people use? I don't think this is ugly.
Although the table looked and felt functionally fine, I returned it and got another style that looks and feels better built.
