Great simple switch and it's nice to see prices finally returning to pre-pandemic levels.

Agreed. Been using mine for about 4 years with zero issues. Just bought another to have on hand as a backup just in case.

Ok, dumb question but If this is gigabit does this mean each port can handle 1gig? Or is the whole switch only able to handle 1gb of transfer and receive total?

That's basically the switching fabric speed and they don't provide any details about it. It's certainly more than 1gb total but it might not be able to handle maxing all of them out at the same time. 1gb is slow enough now a days that it might actually be fast enough to max all the ports out at the same time but it's also pretty unlikely you'll do that naturally. Typically you'll have one or two ports that a lot of the traffic focuses on. Something like your NAS, if you have one, or your uplink to your router for internet access. Likely most of your traffic is going to be going to/coming from one of those two ports and so they will bottleneck and all the other ports will be limited to far below their max speed. If you've got 4 computers downloading from the internet then those 4 are going to be limited to 1gb total or ~250mb each. That's why some switches will offer a single or a couple faster ports so that you can have those critical connections be faster than other connections.
